The first written record is probably the 10 commandments. No adultry, and then other Mosaic laws refer to fornication and that covers it all. Sex itself is not at all sinful or dirty. Within the boundaries it was intended for, a marriage between a man and a woman, it is the most beautiful amazing awesome gift the Lord gave us to express our love with. It is but a glimpse into the vastness of God's love for His bride. Common sense will show you that sex outside of marriage just causes a bunch of problems. Disease, unwanted pregnancies, affairs break up marriages, rob children of a parent, the emotional scars on the individual hearts, altered attitudes of disrespect toward the opposite sex, homosexuality....... It's not an arena that I have any desire to enter into. What is a few moments of pleasure compared to the horrible consequences that can come of it???
