Well technically a dragon is a large reptile so they do exist.

Not today, but I believe that when the people started coming, and the dinosaurs started dying out, that there may have been a few "leftovers" of dinosaurs (pterodactyl-like) that early civilizations caught a glimpse of. They were probably so awe-inspiring that they placed magical abilities with that animal(like fire breathing).

they are real. the word dinosaur is a modern term and many Ancient Cultures and Societies probably referred to them as Dragons for lack of a better descriptive work.

There ARE actually real dragons: Komodo dragons in the Far East, a very large lizard. See the link below. Dragons did indeed exist in ancient times; you never read any fairy tales. They still exist, but in another dimension that we cannot see.

There is the kwazimota dragon, its a large lizard with saliva filled with deadly bacteria. It can take down something as big as an elk. It was on animal planet a while back.
