History of Friday the 13thThe first recorded incident relating to Friday the 13th refers to the massacre of the Knights Templar on Friday October 13, 1307. Pope Clement V viewed the Templar as a threat, and therefore decreed that they must be eliminated. The Vatican was not directly involved in the massacre, but rather acted through King Philip IV of France. Philip sent letters to his forces all over the country with instructions to open that morning. The orders were simple - seek out and arrest all known members of the Knights, slaughter those that resisted, and capture Jacques DeMolay, the last known Grand Master of the Knights Templar.
(There's that good old religion again! Isn't it beautiful?
Another possible origin relates to the Last Supper. Judas, the thirteenth guest, was instrumental in the Crucifixion of Jesus, which is believed to have happened on a Friday. Other theories offered suggest that Eve offered the apple to Adam on a Friday or the slaying of Abel happened on a Friday.

Really? You really wonder? I'll tell you what it means. It means the 13th day of the month fell on a Friday this time. That's ALL it means. The days of the week and the numbers we assign are HUMAN constructs. The mean NOTHING but what WE assume they mean.

The tradition comes from there having been 13 people at the last supper, and Christ died on a Friday.
Double whammy, Friday and 13 both unlucky, Friday the 13th. double unlucky.

TO REAL PEOPLE, IT SIMPLY MEANS THE 6TH DAY OF THE WEEK FALLING ON THE 13TH DAY OF THE MONTH, = NO MEANING AT ALL. TO THE SUPERSTITIOUS, THE DAY BRINGS HAVAC & MAHEM, FOR REASONS THAT I CAN NOT FATHOM. FOR THE SPIRITUAL MINDED; 13 IS THE NUMBER FOR YAHWEH OR FATHER & CREATOR!! IT IS NO SUPRIZE TO ME THAT satan WOULD WANT TO TAKE THAT NUMBER & MAKE SOMETHING BAD OF IT!!! THE NUMBER 13 TO YAHWEH RELATES TO THE KEEPING OF HIS HOLY LAWS & THE ESTABLISHMENT OF UNITY BETWEEN HE & HIS PEOPLE!!
