The world doesn't OWE anybody anything!

Could both these traits be attributed to insecurity, stupidity, or just plain blindness to one's own ability? If it is a result of ignorance then how could someone go about resolving this problem?

If you are going to say listen to what others say... I would say that only has SOME merit seeing that people can be dumb sometimes.

What if you get criticized for being over/under confident for contradictory things from different people? Is this because you hold an unstable self-concept, or due to a mental instability of some sort? (Bi-polar disorder, Borderline personality etc.)

People in this section say things like "there is so much tragedy" or "so many poor and starving people"

My response is compared to what? At what point in history have humans lived better than they do today? When in history have we had as much as we do? Was there any point in history where humans were better off? Everything is relative.

If God is good does that mean He loves or hates evil?

14 Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the LORD God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken.
15 Hate evil, love good
Amos 5:14-15

O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness;
you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked.
5 Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.
Psalm 5:4-5

I saw the sign at a local RCC. Bingo and you can have wine or beer for refreshments. I am not aware of any Protestant denomination that would allow such activities in a Church. I am not against games or drinking if done in moderation, but what do you think Jesus would do? Would He buy 30 cards, grab a beer and get out a couple of plastic saints for good luck? Maybe He would go in and flip a few tables over and start telling the Truth....right in a RCC. Might be the first time that anyone heard the Truth spoken with true authority. I repeat myself, but look up the House of Borgia on wekipedia. Something for every freak with that family. Other than producing several popes, they set all time records in perversions of every nature. Where is the unbroken Apostolic connection to Peter?

Answers to earlier questions suggest that pagans have no difficulty with a person's gender preference.

Is this a general attitude amongst pagans, or just applicable to those few who have spoken up?

Our Heavenly Father,the Creator of heaven & earth promised to us a way out of death.@ Ge.3:15 He tells of a promised seed that would pay the ransom price to buy us back from bondage to sin & death.Jesus Christ is that promised seed. Heb. 10:12 says:"But this man offered 1 sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down @ the right hand of God."Job asked the Q "If a man dies shall he live again?" The Bible answers that Q @ Isa. 26:19, "Your dead 1's will live...They will rise up."@ Jo11:25 after the death of Lazarus Jesus said to his sister "I am the resurrection & the life, he that excersizes faith in me, even tho' he dies,will come to life."@ Jo5:28 We r told "Do not marvel @ this b-cuz the hour is coming in which those in their memorial tombs will hear his voice & come out." @Ps. 37:29 we r told"The righteous themselves will possess the earth & they will reside forever upon it." So w/ God's power the dead really can live again, here on earth under the Kingdom of God. (there's more brb)

so ok im gay. and have been ever since i could remember and so i came out to my parents during my freshman year of high school. my mom grew up hardcore christian and my dad is an ex-marine... so yeah they're obviously anti gay... so im now a senior in high school. and they're still trying to straighten me out by sending me to youth pastors and filling my head with how much homosexuality is a sin.... but i personally dont think it is. so i think they shouldnt worry about me and the people that i like. whether it be a girl or boy. idk what to do.... i mean im not gonna change because i am who i am...

road rage was not something that was prevalent 10 years ago. maybe it was because it didn't have a name. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that when we gave it a name, it seemed to give a silent permission to act violent. Now road rage is the cause of murders. doesn't anyone find this interesting? The increase of rapes, molestation, child pronography, and sex slavery, one could argue it is because of the porn industry that uses freedom of speech to push their right to publish it.
It seems to me that we are always pushing the lines of decentsy and morals and values, just so we can prove a point. people have a natural desire for purpose. Civil rights, war, poverty, hunger,and religious persecution are constant problems, they have not been resolved, they have gotten better but there is still progress that needs to be made. Instead of fighting for things that will only harm our world, lets fight to save it.

what are your thoughts?

Am I correct in saying that atheists by definition are not spiritual people? If I'm misunderstanding "spiritual" or "atheist" please feel free to correct me. But it seems to me that emotions, especially being deeply connected with another human (a very close friendship, a close family member, or being in love with someone) is rooted in spirituality. For me, it is, anyway. Although I'm not exactly sure WHAT it is that I believe, there is no way anyone will ever convince me that the way I feel about certain people is a product of chemical reactions and nothing more. So, I'm wondering, as an atheist, do you think it is harder for you to truly appreciate closeness with others? Or do you have a harder time getting close to others? Or, is it possible to be an atheist and still believe there is something other than our physical bodies that exists at least between people, if not between people and God, on this planet? Thanks ahead of time for all your input.

Actually the probability of yours or my existence can be use against the fine tuning argument. ex. A specific human like me come about and type this exact paragraph is as astronomical impossible as the fine tuning argument claims: If you account for the probability of my parents being born, then they married, then out of the 100 million sperm I came out, then I learned to speak English, then the internet/computer was developed within the timeline of my life span, then I went to Y!A, then I finally type this exact paragraph. How unlikely is that?.....but it happened.

This kind of reasoning turns the assumption that our universe is something free to have a wider range of physical laws than it currently have.

So the question is, are we lucky to have this universe or what?

Do you realize that God saved you from Himself? If you say hell do you realize that hell is the wrath and punishment of God? So basically God is saving you (by the sacrifice that Jesus shed on the cross) from the wrath of His judgement. When you are saved you are saved from God's wrath, by God Grace and for God's Glory.
