We don't, but since he told us what he does like us doing in the Bible its pretty straight foward

There are some things we do that God is not pleased with. That is why we have to be watchful and prayerful. God is a God of love, but He is equally a God of wrath. In short, don't play with God. Whenever I do something that I know is not pleasing to God I pray for forgiveness and try not repeat the sin.

We were all born with a sinful nature, we are all prone to sin. Even Billy Graham has a sinful nature, but when do sin and we are sorry that we sinned we have an advocate and His name is Jesus.

God Bless you for your question....

We know that God likes what we are doing when we feel at peace. If you are studied up in the Word--meaning you have spent time with God in His Word, meditating on it and praying to Him about it--and you have been spending time in prayer, you know you are good with Him because He has given us the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, to guide us. Things that are wrong in our life gnaw at our souls, creating a restless spirit. So when you, as a Christian, feel at peace with God, and with your life as you live it, then you know you are right.

Now if you are not a Christian, you may feel at peace. But you are not saved, and you are not right with God. And there are still those questions nagging you...so you come to Yahoo and post them...

Does it agree with the Word? This is why a person needs the second work for this is when you are totally surrendered in every aspect of your life to God so you will know God always kikes what you are doing.

Remember this:

No person can serve God with the nature that they are born with. God has to radically execute that nature, the nature that they are born with, and infuse His (God's) Holy Spirit into that person. Then that person can serve God.

Because it is all so easily summed up into two commands:

1) Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2) Do to others as you would want done to you.

We can set all life's occurances around those two principles, and we will know that we are doing what God likes and wants done.

You read the bible to find out what God's character is like, and what pleases God and what God hates and finds detestable. after all of the explicit commands and refrences, it is up to each reader to interpret from the whole of scripture (not just prooftexting one single verse out of context) what God might think about something.

Because I examine my conscience every day before I pray and repent of anything I feel I have done wrong. The bible says that if we are in Christ and our hearts don't condemn us then we are right with God.

He told us.

No kidding. The Bible seems to be rather clear about what God likes and doesn't like. And we have God the Holy Spirit to guide us and act as our conscience.
