so ok im gay. and have been ever since i could remember and so i came out to my parents during my freshman year of high school. my mom grew up hardcore christian and my dad is an ex-marine... so yeah they're obviously anti gay... so im now a senior in high school. and they're still trying to straighten me out by sending me to youth pastors and filling my head with how much homosexuality is a sin.... but i personally dont think it is. so i think they shouldnt worry about me and the people that i like. whether it be a girl or boy. idk what to do.... i mean im not gonna change because i am who i am...

I am sad for your parents. I do not believe that loving your children should stop because of their sexuality. I have two boys, and I do not fear them becoming gay at all. There are much better things to fear for them, like drugs, and abuse. Being gay is their choice, and I would never treat them differently because of it. As for the Christian Church, I think that alot of Churches have mixed morals. You are supposed to love unconditionally as a Christian (just like you should as a parent) and casting people down because of their sexuality is not what Jesus intended for us.
I could go on and on about this subject. But it would take up your whole page!
Good Luck in the future, and I hope your parents come around eventually.
Let them know that you being gay doesn't change the fact that you are their son. And if they can not respect your decision, then I would separate myself from them for a bit, and wait until they are ready to focus on something besides your sexuality.
Like what T.R. Knight said: "I hope there are alot more interesting things about me than the fact that I am gay."

Yeah thats something they may or may not get over. Sometimes it takes years, and they never fully accept it, but that dosent mean they hate you. Once you get out on your own things will get better because you want be under 24/7 watch. Plus you dont start missing people until they are gone or spend a lot of time apart. Once they realize your not going to change they will maby get more accepting its just something you wont find out until it happens if it does.

In your case, the only sin is living a life that isn't right for you. You sound like you have it figured out, but the hard part is the rest of your life with your parents as a part of it. You can't live your life to please them, but you can still love them, and forgive them their ignorance and intolerance. Be strong, follow your heart, and know that G-d made you just how he wanted to.

You're almost done with high school, so just hold off. You don't have to agree with what they say, just smile and ignore them. Once you move out, either get a job or off to college, then you can do what you want.

Good for you to realize that you are who you are and that you accept yourself! Unfortunately, you parents will need to realize that in their own time. To accept you for who you are, until that happens, I don't think there is much you can do. You are almost old enough to live your own life, so continue to be true to yourself and my prayer is that your parents will come around. Good Luck :)

your parents may never be able to accept your homosexuality, especially since they are from the "old school".
hang in there until you graduate high school, and maybe if you go away to college, you won't have to be harrassed by them so much.

you have it all figure it out, just give it some time, they'll come around eventually. right now you are still a child that is why they think they can change you, eventually they are going to come to terms with it.
