GOD is Righteouss, Pure and Holy; He hates sin, unrighteousness, and impurity; however He loves the sinner. *While we were yet sinners, Christ Jesus died on the Cross for us. *As many as receive Jesus Christ-the Lord, to them He gives the right to become children of God. *The will of God is that by the Spirit of Truth-the Holy Spirit-we imitate God as His Born Again children in Christ Jesus.
Prov. 8:13 - "The Fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate says the LORD."
Prov. 9:10 - "The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding."
Prov. 15:33 - "The Fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is Humility."
Prov. 16:6 - "By Mercy and Truth iniquity is purged: and by the Fear of the LORD men depart from evil."
*"Jesus Christ 'is' LORD!"*

I know why people say God cannot hate, because He always loves us and gives us another chance. But God does hate sin and evil. If you hate something, you will tend to stay away from it and that is what God wants us to do with evil. This is why I hate islam, not Muslims, but the fake religion. I'm sure God isn't too happy with a teaching that has turned so many away from Him.
God Bless.

I assume you will reject a Biblical explanation. But of course our beliefs about who God is come from the Bible. Not just some arbitrary ideas we've pulled out of thin air. If the word "hate" is upsetting to you, then don't use it. Use the concept of justice. Imagine our society without laws to protect the innocent. Imagine what good those laws would do without punishment for breaking them. Start with the concept of God as Justice. Then measure yourself by a perfect standard. How do you measure up? That's where the love of Jesus comes in.

Once again you have pointed out how the book doesn't follow the religion. Christianity is based on an ALL forgiving god. He cast Lucifer out of heaven, but he would still forgive him if Lucifer wanted to repent.
God will forgive any sin, even those of a mass murder or a suicide bomber. But, God is perfect man is not and the bible is not the word of God, but the Word of God as understood and written down by man.
How do you explain something as complex as a suicide bomber to a person who is basically still living in the stone ages? How do you explain something as complicated as evolution to a man who doesn't know how to get a fire hot enough to melt steel, or to a people who see the sun and all the stars as revolving around the earth?
The bible was written BEFORE the Dark Ages. It was first written in the 200's and then revised by King James back when horseback was the fastest means of travel, and would remain so for well over 500 years. The Old Testament is even older, and dates back to the times of Egypt and the exodus of the Jews.
The bible provides a good guide and Jesus set an excellent example of how to live a person's life, but the bible itself is not to be taken literally and is vastly out of date, written by a primitive man who couldn't understand things like NOT sacking a town after the victory. This didn't become common until the Western Allies set the example after WW2. But, even then we took a lot of the brilliant minds from Germany.
The bible is so far behind the times and so out of date that it is hardly relevant. Yet with so many different types of Christianity and so many people that think the bible is to be taken literally there is no way to update the book. But you have to remember that it is only a book. It is not the religion; it is merely a good guide for the religion.
Rwanda was torn apart by racial hatred, genocide, and horrible acts of man on man. It got so bad that the rivers literally ran red with the blood of the victims. Yet today the Rwandans are trying to rebuild their country and they have found that if they hang on to the hatred then they will never rebuild it, they will never get anywhere. The Middle East sets the perfect example of this. There are huge places in Iran and Iraq where the people are living in the same fashion as when Alexander the Great was the latest word in conquerors, and he was before the Roman Empire.
One reason why these Middle Eastern nations may be so primitive is that they refuse to let go of the hate and so many of them are willing to turn their religion into one of hate. The Koran condemns suicide bombers and states that such mass murders will NOT go to heaven. Yet the radical Mullas have convinced their followers that such an act is one that will secure their place in heaven. That is what happens when you follow the policy of hate.
Just like the radical Islamic Clerics you can turn the religion of Christianity into one of hate, but that is to pervert the very idea of the faith. Don’t try to use the bible to make those changes to the religion.
You, me, and the rest of the world needs to give up that course. It is hard to forgive, harder than some things most people have ever done. But, if you want to go forward in your lives then you have to let go of the hate and move on. That is the true lesson you should be looking for not the teachings from an antiquated book that hasn't been updated or revised in over 1000 years! You need to look forward.

I don't know where you got the idea that God cannot Hate. obviously from the scripture you show, as a just and holy God, God would hate evil and love good, just He commands us to do. 1 Peter 1:16. God hates the evil that humans engage in and the disobedience they involve themselves in, but not humans themselves. there is a difference

Yes, an omnipotent unseen all good and loving god has emotions and yet he is perfect. Emotions such as anger, hate, and jealousy and yet he is perfect. Sorry. That doesn't make sense to me. Pretty much the whole god thing doesn't.

God can hate evil but not people. People are evil at nature yes but he forgives and still loves us. If you have an adorable puppy and it knocks over your $1000 vase or something you would hate what the puppy did but forgive the puppy
