Do you think Jesus would answer me and tell me everything that's in the bible, even though there are no bibles anywhere near me and none are available?

If so, which version would Jesus give me, the version taught in Baptist communities, Catholic communities, or Jewish communities, or would he give me something completely different?

Just so there's no confusion about what I'm asking, imagine you are a Native American, before Europeans settlers arrived in North America. Let's say the year is 1000 CE. If I had called on God, do you think Jesus would answer and give me what was being taught in Great Brittain at the time? Or would I get a completely different answer, from another god or set of gods?

Also, if you say that Jesus wouldn't answer for ANY reason whatsoever, does this mean that Jesus is a tribal deity, and NOT a universal god or part of god?

I do.

Racism comes from all directions and I believe cowardice is at the heart of it.

Rather sad indeed . . . what ever happened to "treat others as you would want to be treated?"

Atheists on R&S feel they are being relentlessly persecuted and abused by fundies, who force them to do all kinds of things like practice school prayer and believe in "creationism". Presumeably these fundies - a vast, sprawling monolith consisting of huge groups like the Jehovah's Witness - are about to overthrow the government and establish a fundie theocracy. If that happens they might be tough on atheists. Shouldn't we Catholics kind of stand up for atheists on humanitarian grounds? We don't want them to end up like Kurds, for heaven's sake. I say, now is the time, before those monolithic fundie groups take over. Then they'll have their lives controlled in every way, from school prayer to forced conversion. Awful! I say, let's act now to create an organization to protect their human rights. We could even create shelters like those Dorothy Day houses we have now for the homeless. How about it? Sound like a plan?

Steve Benson is the grandson of ezra taft benson, former mormon prophet.
I was amazed after reading his and his wife's story. All I heard when I was in mormonism is that he left because he was spreading lies about the church, which is an completely untrue.
Their story is quite enlightening.

The three topics which suggest that Jesus never existed are:
History
Comparative Religion
Solar Mythology
History. It's inconceivable that during the alleged time of Jesus no one bothered to write down anything about this most extraordinary person, yet we have nothing. Even the earliest Bible reference to Jesus dates to at least A.D. 64, and the first Gospel, the Gospel of Mark, dates to at least A.D. 70 (and probably to A.D. 170).
Comparative Religion shows that the story of Jesus already existed in numerous religions prior to the alleged time of Jesus. Chrishna, Horus, Orpheus, Bacchus, Osiris, Dionysus, Buddha, Apollo, Hercules, Adonis, Ormuzd, Mithras, Indra, Œdipus, Quetzalcoatle, etc. The motif of a Crucified Savior was already extant prior to the alleged time of Jesus.
Solar Mythology shows the story of Jesus is just an allegory for the sun passing through the Zodiac and the passage of the seasons of the year. Jesus travels throughout his one year ministry, and the description of his travels exactly match that of the sun traveling through the Zodiac during the year. Here we have the origin of the Jesus story. This common origin explains why all the stories of crucified saviors are essentially the same.

This is a recent Rumination, which is something like a Deep Thought from Jack Handey, from Anthony Myers:

"The whole gay marriage thing is pretty stupid. Why would anyone ever want to get married to someone who isn't even pregnant?"

It seemed really familiar to me, because I've known quite a few straight and bi people who wouldn't have considered marriage unless they "had to." Hell, there's a whole movie about it out now.

What does it make you think of?

Science takes mass accumulated data and forms conclusions without regard to preconceived ideas. It seems to me that if the earth is only 8,000 years old there would be evidence that could be seen by objective research.

I was invited to a dinner at a casual aquaintance's house. Her husband is from a foreign country and he prepared a native dish from his homeland as the main course. As I entered the house, I noticed a bad smell. It wasn't from exotic spices or anything- it was rotten food smell. As the plate was set in front of me it was obvious that the chicken was spoiled. I could just not bring myself to eat anything on the plate. I put a few bites in my mouth and spit them into my napkin and moved my food around the plate to make it look like I was eating.

Later that week I heard from a friend of the aquaintance that her husband was very offended that I didn't eat the food. How do you properly handle a situation such as this? Hopefully it never happens again but I would like to be prepared in the future, just in case. Thanks!

For almost a year now, in every part of my daily life the number 333 appears in some shape or form. I could explain it in detail but if you are having the same experience, you know what I mean. I'm about as shallow as it gets an I dont obsess with dribble like this, but I cant get thru a day without seeing it several times. Its kinda creepy. I am not religious person and dont do drugs or drink. I was just curious if anyone might know what it might mean, or maybe they have the 333 connection?

THE LORDS PRAYER

During a Papal audience, a businessman approached the Pope and made this offer: Change the last line of the Lord's prayer from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken" and KFC will donate 10 million dollars to Catholic charities. The Pope shook his head and said no to the offer. Two weeks later the businessman approached the Pope again, this time with a 50 million dollar offer. Again the Pope declined. A month later the man offers 100 million, and this time the Pope accepts. At a meeting of the Cardinals, the Pope announces his decision. "I have good news and bad news. The good news is, we have 100 million dollars for charities. The bad news is, we lost the Wonder Bread account."
