This is a recent Rumination, which is something like a Deep Thought from Jack Handey, from Anthony Myers:
"The whole gay marriage thing is pretty stupid. Why would anyone ever want to get married to someone who isn't even pregnant?"
It seemed really familiar to me, because I've known quite a few straight and bi people who wouldn't have considered marriage unless they "had to." Hell, there's a whole movie about it out now.

But come to think of it...now it makes me think of how desperate or how strongly some people feel about the right to marry, even if nobody is pregnant!

I think anyone with a good sense of humor will think that is funny. It's a cute little quote and all, but don't confuse this persons wit for the real issue at hand.
