Tim: I respect the historical ghost of Jesus - I certainly don't need him. He was merely a guide - possibly the greatest we were given.

iron_servant: The material world evolves as does our understanding of the spiritual. No book(s) could contain all knowledge .Our understanding of the spiritual world is very limited.

He "had" enough of you and everyone. But, thank God, His grace allowed the gift of salvation. No I do not speak in tongues. I fear the One who could end life, and create life in one spoken word. Only a very foolish boy would mock and challenge the Almighty God. May your hardened heart, and your closed mind, turn to the Holy One before it's too late.

The beauty of this life for me now is that God actually delights in me..He loves me unconditionally, He shows mercy and forgiveness when I fail and He is always faithful to His promises to all true 'born again' Christians. What more could any Christian want. He will never have had enough of me..nor me of Him.
Your question is in itself contradictory inasmuch as you are telling Christians God has had enough of you and then you say you speak in tongues......sadly the two statements do not correlate. You cannot judge people with one statement then say you are Spirit filled with another...and to speak in tongues you have to be Spirit filled.
Best wishes, Mike.

I take it you can back up the statement scripturally.
----------
Times may change, but principles don't. So the Bible is just as applicable today as it was in Moses' time.
People's understanding of spiritual things may evolve but that does not mean modern thinking on such matters is correct and approved by God.
The Bible does not claim to contain all knowledge, but it does contain all the knowledge we need. (2 Timothy 3:16)
If your statement isn't based on scripture, what is it based on?

Uhm...let's see, Christians generally became Secular 400 years ago...?, never had supported terrorism or killings... I think god has a lot more to say about other people these days and centuries ago also...

Actually, you are only half right.
God had enough of our sin. A penalty had to be paid for it, the ultimate penalty. But God, in his infinate love, sent Jesus to pay that price for us. Even me, a sinner undeserving of his love.
But, speaking in tounges is not what saves you. Believing in Christ and accepting him as Lord and Savior, accepting the free gift of his salvation, that is what saves you.

Wear proper headgear when your trashing around on the church floor...just because you speak in tongues doesn't mean smacking your head on wood won't give you a concussion,
