isn't it about time we ditched "God Save The Queen" as our national anthem, after all it's an affront to those who do not believe in God. I think "Land Of Hope And Glory" stirs up more emotion and pride. What do you think? What would you like to hear as our anthem?

"Minorities commit a disproportional number of crimes if one looks at their numbers in the united states."

All are true, if one is to believe that all statistics are true (if they are or not is another argument- lets assume they are, for the arguments sake). Why do people scream 'racism' when someone brings up a statistic like that? How is something racist if its true?

(I'm just curious, so don't jump down my throat, please.)

Why do most christians not read/believe in/own the original bible?

Do you believe that Martin Luther actually had the divine authority to discredit certain books from the Bible?

Isn't there some contradiction as to having an Earthly King's name stamped on the side of your Bible?

Have you ever actually read or even seen any of the eight original books that were supposed to be in the Bible?

If the Bible has been edited in the past, then what's your reason for believng that today's Bible is the final draft?

Whats to stop the "Higher Authorities" from revising the Bible yet again?

I view the Book Of Genesis as an allegory. I think God created the world, but the science of evolution shows us his handiwork.

I am for same sex marriage, and for the ordination of gays and lesbians. I came to this conclusion after much thought and prayer, realising that all are sinners, all fall short of perfection. Homosexuals do not choose to be the way they are. There are many comandments in the Old Testament that no one follows, so maybe teachings regarding sexuality are no different.

I am pro-life

When I say The Apostles Creed, I believe every word. Jesus Christ's ressurection was a physical one. I believe in all the miracles Jesus performed. He was born of a virgin. And I believe that Christ will return one day.

Given some of these views that I hold which are certainly the subject of great contravery these days, would you still call me a Christian?

As a society, we're often told that holding on to our past (especially events and people which have hurt us) is un-healthy!

However, Golda Meir said : "One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.”

Is it healthy or un-healthy to erase one's past? & Why ?
Your thoughts please.

FYI, the company I work for just paid out 14 million dollars to its employees today, and if I ain't seen it, that means I messed up, and I'd be out of a job, and not see my pittly little salary for the two weeks I worked.

Do I see 1 million? No, but I sure as heck see a file that went to the bank saying to pay those 14 million dollars.

Do you all have any real proof of your god(s) or is it all just faith and some book from 3000 years ago originally written by a goat herder.

Think of all the horror movies that are shown in a theatre daily. So, are movie theatres beacons of evil? To be honest with you, I am intrigued by this "footholds of evil" thing, because spiritually, as an agnostic, I sense malevolent spirits around certain objects and places, and I will leave or stay away. Sometimes even people. But honestly, there are too many humans packed with all their psychic debris to read a movie theatre, at least I'm not talented enough to do so. So, I ask your thoughts on the movies being evil.

Thanks.

You would probably trust the person that is most knowledgable in the area you're questioning, right?

Then why would a creationist ignore geologists, biologists, geneticists, anthropologists, archeologists, astronomers, paleontologists, and anyone else who is most knowledgable in fields relating to our origins?

1) the fossils of the neanderthal all mostly had a very degenerative and debilitating back disease or massive arthritis in the back and hip area. causing them to hunch over

2) their bone mass was 5X bigger than ours, hence making it less likely to break a bone.

3) because of their bone size they had much more muscle mass than we do today. Meaning that they were much more stronger than we are now.

These are all scientifically proven. So prove to me how we would have evolved into smaller, and weaker beings than our ancestors.

When I am on an aircraft I 'keep an eye' on people who look like they are potential bombers. Unfortunately this means I look out for Asians, muslims etc. This categoric field is an over generalization and there are hardly any extremist Muslims with the intent of mass murder - this is where I admit I am wrong. Yet I fail to belive this is me being racist. I think that I am being vigilant and aware of my surroundings so should a suspicious situation happen I can act on it successfully and at least stand a good chance of stopping terrorist attack.

Does you agree with me or disagree? Do I need to re-think my views, should they be toned down? Or am I right, should most people be like me? Is it that racist - if at all?

Many Christians get upset when non-Christians celebrate Easter or Christmas. However, I want to know about Halloween. Do Pagans who celebrate the true Halloween (Samhein) get upset when someone who is a non-Pagan make a mockery of what is really a high holy day for them? Do Christians that celebrate Halloween have no problem that it actually is a Pagan holiday?

The Qu'ran refers to the trinity as being polytheism. It also refers to Mary as being a part of the trinity te doctrine of the trintiy was first told by Moses int he first scriptures God gave ot man in the very creation of man who is ONE being but he was made in the image of God with both flesh and spirit. Man was not made int he image of God being a multiple being with more than one mind but a body and a spirit and being a living soul and this is ONE man. God is Father, Son and Holy spirit and is ONE God. Wy didn't Allah understand the doctrine of the trinity?

I really want to know your answers to this.

You believe God created the Universe in six days and took one day to rest, he also created man, animal, plant etc. That this God lives in a paradise where those who believe his son who he sent down from this paradise, will get to live with him once they die, only if they get pass peter at the gates.

You believe in that, but as soon as I bring up Aliens to christians, you say No Way!
As soon as i say The Devil some christians say, He's not real.
As soon as I say man was once monkey, you say No.

Why? Why can christians beleive such a fable like story that has NO PROOF but cant believe any other what if.

Do you agree the one thing that has killed the most people in the world is the Bible...

My wife often tries on a dress and asks me, "Does my bum look big in this?" I know it's cliched but that's what she does.

Anyway, I have always told her that her bum doesn't look big, which means I have lied to her. But I do this because I don't want to offend her.

However, a very knowledgeable Christian friend of mine told me to read Proverbs 27:6 where I found the following: "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy." I interpret this to mean that I shouldn't lie to my wife. Should I tell her the truth about her big bum?

Do I stop there? Do I tell my kids the truth about Santa Claus? Faithful are the wounds of a friend.

This is mostly why I have a problem with teaching creation in schools. Essentially the theory states that some supernatural being or power created the universe. Well there have been thousands of creation myths throughout human history. It seems that Christians only want their creation myth taught in schools but reject the idea of teaching all creation myths. They want the creation myth from their Bible's taught in schools, but ask them if we should teach the muslim creation myth, or hebrew creation myth, or the buddhist creation myth, OH NO, we can't teach those, those ones arn't Christian. I will make a deal with you Christians. If you allow every creation theory from every religion give it's theory, then fine I will have no problem with it. But if you only want the Christian creation myth taught, then go to hell.
