This is mostly why I have a problem with teaching creation in schools. Essentially the theory states that some supernatural being or power created the universe. Well there have been thousands of creation myths throughout human history. It seems that Christians only want their creation myth taught in schools but reject the idea of teaching all creation myths. They want the creation myth from their Bible's taught in schools, but ask them if we should teach the muslim creation myth, or hebrew creation myth, or the buddhist creation myth, OH NO, we can't teach those, those ones arn't Christian. I will make a deal with you Christians. If you allow every creation theory from every religion give it's theory, then fine I will have no problem with it. But if you only want the Christian creation myth taught, then go to hell.

Exactly !! I can't believe the arrogance of these fundie Xians who think the whole world was created by the Bible God. And who think we're all descended from that drunken Noah & his incestuous grandchildren.

Yes, all creation myths could be taught in school AS LONG AS equal time is allotted to each. Then maybe the kiddies would realize their religion is just a myth like so many others.

But teach current myths AND ancient myths so they can see just how their religion evolved from Egyptian, Hindu, & Buddhist ideas.

I agree. I think it is useful, in science class, to take a week and introduce the subject of origins by going over past theories - religious or otherwise. After that you can get into modern times and start talking about The Big Bang, Evolution and Inflation Theory.

I may be wrong but I believe it's illegal to teach Evolution in American public schools. Go to Google Video and search for Creation v Evolution, it's a two parter on the subject.
You could go to *Revelation TV* and purchase the DVD by John Mckay on the subject, it's very informative.

Are you American and if so , in God we Trust , Maybe you
should teach the USA Constitution . Which our fore fathers
built this country in trusting God , prayer , and the Holy Bible.
Or maybe you should consider teaching in another country
that rejects God altogether ?
