I am 15yrs old and have known for about a year that I am a lesbian. my parents and friends are pretty much homophobic, and if not then they find it funny. I am comfortable with the person I am and have no problem with being a lesbian but I am afraid of what others (my friends and family) will think and say if I come out, I don't want them to view me in the wrong light. What should I do???

Do you embrace pluralism, or are you sickened by it? I recently read an article about an Episcopal priest in Seattle who claims to be both Christian and Muslim. Shockingly, she is still a priest in good standing. I don't get it. Christians profess Christ to be the Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead to conquer death; Muslims believe Jesus to be merely a prophet who did not even die on the cross. Incompatible beliefs, as far as I can tell. What are your views on this? What are your views on religious pluralism in general?

I really encourage you to read the article here: http://www.albertmohler.com/blog_read.php?id=964
This theologian gives some great insight to the absurdity of this deal. Read the whole thing through if you're going to read it at all.

Situations such as these are what make me want non-orthodox Episcopalians split with the Anglican Communion. Sigh. :o(

Just a quick reflection on Pascal's wager (in honor of it's 928,108,281st posting)... Is it even possible for the argument to convince anyone to change?... I know that even if I tried hard, I wouldn't be capable of changing my belief system without actually having some good argument for the belief itself, believing that believing it was in my best interest couldn't ever do it for me...

What about you guys?...

(For the record, please try not to evaluate how likely it is that changing is in your best interest, just answer the question)

Why do people feel the need to blame God for all the wrong things in their lives? Why do people say "How can God be real when there is so much evil in the world?"

God created us with FREE WILL. WE do horrible things to each other, not God. The devil tempts us with things, and we cave it. God had NOTHING to do with it.

A week ago my husband of two years told me that he doesn't think he loves me anymore. Since we had our son last Sept. he's acted a little strange.. he doesn't want to be intimate (we go months..), he never hugs or kisses me voluntarily, he never wants to do anything as a family.. he's just so distant. I gained weight while I was pregnant because of an Eating Disorder I'd had for eleven years, so I feel like he's just not attracted to me anymore. I'm so scared that he's going to leave me and our son. When I say "I love you" he just says, "I know" or "Okay" He never talks to me. It's just killing me. I've had thoughts of hurting myself, though I know I could never be that selfish when I have a baby.. but it still scares me. Please pray for us. I love my husband more than anyone on the planet and I can't imagine my life without him. Thank you.

Now this just comes out of curiousity, since i am not
religious. I can guarantee that all the faith christians got comes from two things. Firstly, christians were brought up and
brain washed as christians. Secondly, christians claim
they had some sort of miralce brought upon them as they
prayed to God. The second reason is the more popular reason.
TO ALL CHRISTIANS:
Do you remember that you used to have problems
even before you were a firm believer?( you did not pray back then) Some of your problems were resolved and some not. Right? Now that you are praying some problems are not answered and some are. Right? Now did you need a miracle
back then when you were not praying to have your problem
resolved? Try to think logically; if the only reason why you have faith is due to prayers anwered you might as well stop
praying and compare the problems resolved ratio.
It does not take a rocket scientist to understand this logic.
No offense to all Christians. Just curious.

Come on you stupid people. Just because people are athiests doesn't mean we are wrong about god. God may not be real. Christians don't have real proof that god is real because the bible could just be a story and mary could have actually screwed joseph or she could have been metally insane. None of the things christians say can be proven factual nor can athiets. No one will never actually know. Well, that is what I believe. Now tell what you think please.

People have 1 night stands all the time and thats pretty much the same - sex with a stranger. Except you get paid! Money and sex are the two things humans love so why is it considered bad? Do you think prostitution is bad?

My story. Being raised in the traditional Lutheran Protestant faith, and by very religious grand parents. I have somewhat trifted off in Lalaland. I still believe but my faith is somewhat disturbed. How can I inquire my faith back , cause I think my partner has a hard time with me about it. Cause my partner has faith and belief. I do have belief. But about faith I am not sure? So how do you inquire it when you attend a Unitarian Universalist Church?

Im agnostic, so this isn't really anything to do with the belief of god.
Anyways, yall are so damn negative. Have you ever thought of being more tolerant? Me for example, im extremely loving and sweet to all. UNLESS YOU DO SOMETHING BAD FIRST! I came here on my other 17, now 18, accounts and I got extrememly negative answers from you all. I support the 1st amendment, but show some class!

Celestial? Terrestrial? Telestial? Outer Darkness?

I highly doubt Outer Darkness. That is reserved for people that have seen God and then later deny it. I don't know of any Mormons that have seen God.

I'm sorry to say but Senior Citizens should not be allowed to drive. I do not think they have the reflex and mental capacity to handle it. Im constantly seeing accidents in the news involving persons over the age of 65.

I was sitting in my car once and my grandfather came and parked behind me and just bumped into my car, he got out and didn't even know he did it.haha. This is so common.

But foreal, there is an age minimum for teens, there should be an age maximum. Dont you think?

I don't believe in any gods or in an afterlife. I believe that when we die, that's it, over and done with. I'm not 50/50, "maybe there, is, maybe there isn't" -- I don't think there is, and I don't think there's anything that could convince me otherwise, short of, say, Armageddon. HOWEVER, I don't claim to know this for sure; while I certainly think I'm right, I admit that there's no way for me to tell whether or not I am.

I catch a lot of flack for only dating older women. I'm 19 and the youngest woman I will date is 25, I don't have a limit for the oldest cuz I know some really hot middle to upper aged women. But people always assume that I'm either getting taken advantage of, or that I'm a gold digger cuz I like mature successful older woman.

Anway...so what's your age limits???...if you don't wanna say your age then you can say something like 3 years younger and 5 years older me.

My personal experience (ROTC and waiting tables) has been that all-female groups instantly tend to form cliques and friction seems to become inherent (gossip, rumors, rivalry), to the point that the job/mission is in jeopardy. The problem seems only exacerbated with a woman in charge of the shift/platoon. I have actually heard from women who hate working with other women. In my experience men also have problems, but the conflicts tended to be short lived, and we were still able get the job done, more or less drama-free. Am I percieving this correctly or is this just an isolated anectdotal incident? I am interested in a woman's perspective.
