It is good that this debate has reached Youtube.
If you think about it, 15-20 years ago there would be a lot of scandal and shame projected for discussing this topic in such a forum, which is mostly frequented by teenagers.
If nothing else, growing up gay in 2007 is a lot less lonely with the Internet than growing up gay in 1970.
Teenagers can find other gay people to relate to, even if they are isolated in a small twon or mountain village.
What a difference 30 years can make, huh?

thank you for sharing, if this was what was taught to children instead of the ignorant inane ramblings they are poisoned with, the prejudices in the world would not exist. His logic is pretty basic, and you just cannot argue with this. Why oh why then is it so difficult for so many to see?

John Corvino should be applauded! I think that he raises some valid points. They should show this lecture in sex education classes. Maybe it will give people something to think about and act upon. people have probably written this, but what he says is exactly what I think. Bravo!!

Actually, by complete coincidence, I watched this video earlier tonight. I found it to be very compelling! I wish I could see his entire lecture, rather than just snippets.
