Well, a few of my friends & their families asked me to go to this huge park on Independence Day to have a picnic/BBQ and to watch fireworks...The thing is, every year, my family and I have an ordinary BBQ with barely any fireworks (it's illegal in my state, helicopters actually fly over the houses to make sure that we're not lighting them up). Our celebration is nothing THAT special. But then after we eat, we just go inside, and after that, it gets really boring... I don't know which to choose. My parents don't care. The thing is, I've heard that sometimes, people shoot guns and stuff just for fun on that day (to liven up the party I guess). So that's kind of dangerous. I also don't want to leave my dog, because she's really afraid of fireworks, she'd whine and hide due to her fear of them. What would you do? Should I just go with my friends and just forget about my dog & our (boring) family tradition? Or should I just have the ORDINARY BBQ w/ my family?

I was just wondering because I'm bisexual and my family is really Catholic, they dont really make a big deal out of non-Christian stuff, soo...I'm just wonder because my grandma beleives they (she doesnt know im bi) were born that way and she is for gay marriage. Soo...does the Catholic Church accept gay people?

I believe Jesus is delayed... How about you? What do you think is the reason?

I was hanging around the Singles & Dating board a few minutes ago, and it occurred to me that when someone posts something like "how cn u talk 2 girl" or "shud i hav sex wid my bf", or similar, isn't one doing the human race a disservice by assisting these individuals in their efforts to find a mate and pass on their genes? Note, I'm not suggesting forced sterilization or the like - but maybe it would be a good idea to put subliminal "get your tubes tied" messages in, say, episodes of Jerry Springer.

Hmmm...come to think of it, if the overt content of those shows doesn't drive one to desire the extinction of the entire human race, maybe subliminal messages are futile after all...

I am not looking for anyone to bash anyone elses religion. I want to know why you chose the religion you study or worship. I would like to hear from all religions: christianity, mormons, scientology, ect...
Again, please do not tell me why you did not choose something else, but only why you chose what you chose.
And what keeps you going back?
I prefer not to hear from people who have no religous association since you did not choose anything.

It says that if your prayers aren't answered maybe fasting is necessary. I'm confused about fasting.. is it really as simple as not eating anything? God created Adam. Then he took a rib from Adam
and thus came Eve. Both were exiled from The Garden
of Eden. They had children. hmmm.....Kane and Abel.....
Probably the guys that made up the story in
the Bilbe forgot to mention where on earth the women they mated with came from. Or maybe they missed the part
where Adam and Eve got a few daughters. If so, then
Kane and Abel had sex with their own sisters. In that
case it is ok for Christian brothers and sisters to have sex.
Christians are pretty perverted i suppose then.
TO ALL CHRISTIANS:
You got a choice to make.
Either admit that your religion is made up by normal
human beings or admit that you are perverted.

ugh im so disgusted with smokers smoking around you, its like they're trying to get me killed! Even if they are standing at a distance, the wind always seems to blow the smell in my face. I can never seem to escape this because my stepdad smokes as well, and just now he like filled the entire garage with smoke and my mom was just pissed because she couldnt do her laundry.

don't you hate smokers? Have friends who smoke and want to help them quit? Tired of second handsmoking?

I am getting sick and tired of hearing that one person is not acting black enough, or another person is acting too white. Why can't acting black be a positive thing rather then being known as loud, obnoxious and among other negative things.

Through out my life, many told me that i acted like a white girl, so I tried to shed the image by acting the way that "they" wanted me to act, in reality I was falling into the trap of what society wanted me to be, rather then becoming my own person.

Anyways, I’ve learn and came to the realization that there is no such thing as acting or being a certain color. I think who we are and what we do in our lives are basically influence by where we were bought up and who we encounter with in our daily lives..

Also, I just have to say that just because you are a certain color doesn't necessarily mean that one shoud be limited to listing to certain "types" of music.

What do you think.
