I have, I picked up the wrong carton from the fridge and poured banana milkshake into my coffee. Maybe I should learn to put the light on so I can see the difference in the colour codes on the lids! lol x

My husband and I are new to the San Diego area and are looking for a good church to go to. We like nondenominational, "mega" churches (i.e. very large). I am not having much luck finding one online.

I know and understand that the word Rapture is not in the Bible, what I would like to know is where the word came from. In a way it fits the Second of Christ and all, we will get rapture up to meet Jesus in the sky. But I always have heard it and used it even though I know its not in the Bible. So please if anyone knows where it came from let me know.all welcome to answer.

It seems to me the Christian world has their priorities wrong conserning the Jews. I remember Jesus telling his followers to preach the Gospel to the Jews first and then to the Gentiles. So this message of salvation through Jesus Christ is supposed to be preached to the Jews first. How come we don't preach to the Jews? Why do we think God has some special plan outside the sacrifice shed blood of Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ Himself said his sacrifice is for the Jews.

Ok I will be fair to warn all those(non believers) who want to make wise cracks..you will be dinged.

Jesus death on the cross gives you the opportunity to be forgiven for all your wrong doing. Yes, your slate of sin can be wiped clean, never to come up again. You can be free from the power of sin in your life.
Believe that Jesus died for you
Confess your sins to Him, asking Jesus to forgive you
Repent, which means to turn away from your sin
Make Jesus Lord of your life.

Jesus wants to give you a new life, one with purpose and destiny. Jesus said: I have come that you might have life, and have life abundantly.

Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me.

What did Eve think she was missing when the serpent temted her. It wasn't like she was trying to keep up with the Jones's or something. Why would she feel she needed more knowledge? This part doesn't ring true.

I have been studying the Quran for over thirty years now and it never fails to fascinate me. In fact, the phenomenon of continually finding new fascinating aspects of the Quran has been true for the Muslim scholars throughout the years.

My family moved to California from Spain. Thus, we were nominally Catholic. I had very little exposure to any religion until a friend of mine in school invited me to their church. I started attending and this was the first time that I began to read the Bible. I was definitely taking everything very seriously. There then came the time to be baptized. I had no problem with it except that I decided that, since this was the first religion I was exposed to, I should just look around at other religions to make sure that I was certain about what I was doing. I did not think this would actually affect my final decision while, in reality, that near baptism led me to becoming a Muslim.

What's your story? What lead you to be who you are today?

so was explaining my beliefs to someone the other day, and they said "that sounds a lot like ?" i can't remember what they said. so if you have thoughts, i'd like to hear them

I belive that everything is connected. The universe is a big huge system and each planet is a smaller system that is part of that big universe, and so on. And we, as humans, are part of this system. I believe our actions affect others, even those we may never know. Kind of the whole "if a butterfly flaps it's wings" thing.

I don't believe in a soul, I don't believe in an afterlife, a god or gods, the human spirit, etc. When we die, we die. That doesn't mean we don't still have an impact after we're dead. Our thoughts and actions affected people, who in turn affect other people, and so on on so forth. So just because we die, doesn't mean we stop being "connected."
