One of the ways we are often tempted is via our CURIOSITY. For example, if your parents told you to NOT go watch a certain movie, your curiosity would be aroused. Depending how obedient you were, you would either leave the movie alone, or try with all tricks available to you to go see it.
Satan roused Eve's curiosity, and then could make up some fabulous lies for her to fall for.

There is a vast difference between wisdom and knowledge, and it was wisdom not knowledge of which Eve sought.
Wisdom is an understanding and comprehension of things. The Book of Job speaks all about how animals lack wisdom.
An example would be homicide, when an animal kills it does not have the wisdom to realize that it has taken something's life but rather sees it as necessary for survival.

Lets face facts, women have been "falling" for a lot of things, ever since Eve, and they continue to fall for things to this day, so, dont think that Eve had anything on any other woman, as she was, and is the same way as they are now...
(Dont make sense, does it?)...
She was just as gullible then, as women are now, wanting more than she had, and always reaching for more and taking us men along for the ride!
I wish you well...

The serpent told her she could be like God knowing both good and bad. And in this he was saying to her that God lied to her when it was stated that if she, or Adam, ate from the tree they would positively die.

Because Satan told her that God was with-holding something from her, and hen told her that she could be like God. she kept thinking about that and as she did the fruit on that tree looked better and better, she desired it then with her eyes. remeber the old saying..."all that glitters is NOT gold" Satan brought into question God's righteous rule...obedient mankind has since been answering that question....
(Proverbs 27:11) “. . .Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me.”
Satan taunting God...and mankind being tried with tribulations to break their integrity to God:
(Job 2:1-5) “. . .Afterward it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and Satan also proceeded to enter right among them to take his station before Jehovah. 2 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Just where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” 3 And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad? Even yet he is holding fast his integrity, although you incite me against him to swallow him up without cause.” 4 But Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Skin in behalf of skin, and everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul. 5 For a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch as far as his bone and his flesh [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.””
The events in the Garden of Eden:
(Genesis 3:1-6) “3 Now the serpent proved to be the most cautious of all the wild beasts of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it began to say to the woman: “Is it really so that God said YOU must not eat from every tree of the garden?” 2Â At this the woman said to the serpent: “Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat. 3Â But as for [eating] of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘YOU must not eat from it, no, YOU must not touch it that YOU do not die.’” 4Â At this the serpent said to the woman: “YOU positively will not die. 5Â For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad.” 6Â Consequently the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something to be longed for to the eyes, yes, the tree was desirable to look upon. So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. Afterward she gave some also to her husband when with her and he began eating it.”

Notice that Satan lied to her to peak her interest. He slyly convinced her that she was "missing out" on something. He made her believe that God had left out some details and she became curious enough to investigate. Had she merely turned away and ignored him we wouldn't need computers to communicate.

--THE KNOWLEDGE was of the nature of equality to God, along with his power!
--SHE WAS INDEED deceived into thinking she would obtain equality with God!
--IMMODESTY in relation to God was a quality she failed to practice, THUS she made herself a goddess, similar to Narcissis!
*** it-2 p. 422 Modesty ***
Before God. With regard to modesty, in the sense of a proper estimate of one’s own self, the Scriptures give much counsel. “Wisdom is with the modest ones,” says the proverb. This is because the person manifesting modesty avoids the dishonor that accompanies presumptuousness or boastfulness. (Pr 11:2) He is following the course approved by Jehovah and is therefore wise. (Pr 3:5, 6; 8:13, 14) Jehovah loves and grants to such one wisdom. One of the requirements for gaining Jehovah’s favor is ‘to be modest in walking with him.’ (Mic 6:8) This involves a proper appreciation of one’s position before God, recognizing one’s sinful state as contrasted with Jehovah’s greatness, purity, and holiness. It also means that a person should recognize himself as a creature of Jehovah, altogether dependent on Him and subject to His sovereignty. Eve was one who failed to appreciate this. She stepped out for complete independence and self-determination. Modesty would have helped her to dismiss from her mind the thought of becoming “like God, knowing good and bad.” (Ge 3:4, 5)
--GREED was another quality she replaced for modesty!
--SIMILARLY TO SATAN, the usurper--WHO FAILED to gain the power of Jehovah God , even though he has tried every LYING deception to convince mankind that he indeed has it.
--ALSO THE rightness of satans so called rule has failed miserably with all the terrible conditions he has brought about!
--AND FINALLY the deservedness of God's rule he has never validated for himself!
--AS BOTH the Archangel & human , Jesus never even gave thought to any usurping as Satan did!
--PLEASE REMEMBER Jesus, as a man ,when on earth was in the same perfect stature as Adam & Eve --facing the same temptations!
(Philippians 2:5-8) “5Â Keep this mental attitude in YOU that was also in Christ Jesus, 6Â who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. "

Eve wanted to be LIKE God, knowing good and evil. Ever want to be like one of your parents? I don't think there was any malicious intent, just a desire for more than what God gave her (sound familiar?).
