Hey guys....

I am searching for a church to belong to. I used to go to church years ago, but then I guess I changed, or stopped believing enough to dedicate my life. I still believe, just not as strong as I once did.

I am looking for a congregation to belong to, and also some type of fellowship. I can say this much, that I know there is a God, because He has saved my life numerous times, I should be dead many times over, and I was able to get out of a real mess of a life just a year ago.

This is a long shot, but any advice would be greatly appreciated, or if you will pray for me, then thats great too.

If their god failed to give them ammunition that would convince intelligent people, doesn't it make sense that this decision is deliberate because their god can't stand smart humans?

What kind of god hates smart people?

I received an e-mail from her husband, Tommy, in response to a prayer message I sent very late last night. Here's what he said:

"Please pass the news that she is awake this morning. Weak still and still in ICU but praise GOD AWAKE! I will not bother with Yahoo any longer as they seem not to like me.

What does it mean that someone felt God was with them?
Is it similar to being able feel a relative's presence by concentrating on them?

What does it mean when someone says they've experienced God?
Does it mean they've attributed an unexplained event to God?

The evolution hoax is elaborate, and I'll even say well thought out, but flawed beyond belief. Evolution doesn't explain vegetation at all, and vegetation is essential not only for human survival, but for all of GOD's creatures, as well.

i saw this show yesturday. it is about a priest that heals people by hiting them on the head. for example there was a lady that couldn't walk then she talk to the priest , the priest said "god gave you new legs" then she was walking and running
around the church. there was another guy that couldn't see then the priest hit him in the head then he started seeing again.

why do they unconditionaly hate jewish people, im not talking about Israelis, im talking about jews.

Why do many of them want to kill all unbelievers

what is the approximate percentage of those who fell like that as against those who are kind, decent, enlightened people?
We keep hearing that fundamentalists and fanatics are the small minority.
How small IS this minority? (in your opinions)

I truly believe as He is a Omnipotent God, He surely take just a instant to create all those clean animals just after the Noah Flood.

However, He did asked Noah to do a lot of work and there are unclean animal which you could do nothing with it.

What do you think?

Let try to have a healthy discussion please. Just for your info, I am unbeliever.

I would appreciate for those whom had no answer, if you could kindly ask your church about it. I just want to have more options to clear my doubt.

I hand out Bibles to people who do not have one and would like to own one. I have been buying Bibles at our local dollar stores. They are $5 for small gift Bibles which are kind of hard to read because of the small print. They also have a Giant Print Bible that I really like they run around $8 - $10 each, depending on the store. These are not bad prices but I'd like to get more for the money if possible.

Does anybody know where I can maybe find some cheaper that are decent quality?

I can't recall -ever- seeing an argument in favour of Christianity that would appeal to an intelligent 21st century human.

Not one argument that would convince an intelligent person that there has to be a supernatural being who controls the fate of humanity.

The argument always seems to fit the following paradigm:

"I believe in it and you should too."

That's it. That's the sum of their rationale.

Given how notorious humans are for talking themselves into believing things (one need only look at all the religions of the world to see how true this is), what intelligent 21st century individual is going to say "ok"?
