(I certainly hope I've phrased that question sufficiently within the rules ...)
I received an e-mail from her husband, Tommy, in response to a prayer message I sent very late last night. Here's what he said:
"Please pass the news that she is awake this morning. Weak still and still in ICU but praise GOD AWAKE! I will not bother with Yahoo any longer as they seem not to like me.

Joey -- Not that Debra, but a longtime participant on R&S who always has a kind word for everyone. I hope folks don't give you too many thumbs-down; personally, with good news like this I don't begrudge anyone the two points as long as they mind their manners. Peace.

Tell Tommy that I am VERY glad that Debra is doing a bit better. I don't know if I've ever told him off or anything, but he must be a great guy to be married to someone as consistently kind as Debra. Tell him that they have my agnostic prayers. Blessings!

Yes, thank you! I haven't known her on here for very long, nor have I ever been in contact with her otherwise, but she's such a kind soul and I'm glad to hear she's doing well.
