Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same {Lord} is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

Rom 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

Mormons believe in an "open canon" which means they can add books (i.e. Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine & Commandments) that violate the warnings given in scripture that forbids from doing so, (e.g. Deut. 4:2; 12:32; Prov. 30:6; Rev. 21:18-19) Therefore their teachings of Christ are foreign to biblical and historical Christianity violating Gal. 1: 8-9; and Jude v3. This is not the Christ nor the gospel "that was once delivered to the saints." But became the manufactured gospel that a Master Mason, (Joseph Smith) who claimed to have special powers to interpret through a 'peeping stone' had... That no one else could.

They've already been prepared for you. They will discount anything you say that counters their "revealed' teachings. They discredit your belief system right from the start. They believe you are lead (or mislead) by satan himself. Mormons accept the KJV as the only true bible translation, since god talks that way in the Book of Mormon.

If you present hard facts (which the BoM actually needs in order to not appear ludicrous), they counter that they know in their heart that they are right and you are wrong.

Best advice: Do not enter a dialog about it. It'll end up hurting both of you.

I think your friend would be very receptive to your testimony about the Saviour. Would you listen to her telling you about Him? I think the best opening to a discussion about religion is simply to make it like any other topic. This Sunday I really enjoyed church because there was a lesson on......

Don't unless she asks. Its intrusive and as a Mormon she does know about Jesus. Just not the same way you do. She doesn't think your beliefs are correct just like you don't hers. Her religion shouldn't be a point between you as friends.

Mormons do believe in Jesus. But it is the wrong Jesus. The Mormon view of Jesus is that he is a created being/ a half brother of Satan. God and Ephraim have spiritual sex and send these spirit babies to earth to test them. Mormons believe that they are these spiritual babies and have to do more good works than bad and then they also can one day become their own gods and rule their own planets someday.

Research Mormonism. They have a lot of secrets they don't want you to know about. They want to please Joseph Smith more than God. The Bible is full of errors amongst other problems with your viewpoint as a Christian. Probe deeply and find out what they really believe.

Mormonism: another denomination of Christianity or a cult?

I say invite her to church with you one day. Then go from there. Don't try to force your religion on her though. If she decides not to go then I'd leave it alone for a while.
