To live in accordance with God.

Sharing the Good News is the greatest task that we have been given. Our purpose is to seek and save the lost, (those who do not know Jesus) from the darkness/evil/painful/death.
This means to not only hear and understand the good news, but to reach out to others and share the good news of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ.

The perfect story to illustrate this is:

3Then Jesus told them this parable: 4"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' 7I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

We live!
We live in a physical body, with all of its love, temptations, capacity for sin, capacity for evil, capacity for tremendous good, capacity for great things, and we are given the opportunity to try.
This time on earth is to experience what physical life is all about with both pleasure and pain. We are here to learn what we are like when God is not around. We are here to learn how to become like God through experiences, trial and error, and making mistakes and learning how to face our failures and correct them. We are denied memories of what we were like before we came, so we can learn of God and Jesus and choose to accept or reject them on our own, without either of them standing next to us influencing our choice. We are given the Bible as truth to help us learn on our own.
But the whole purpose of life is that we live!

we are here to glorify God and do his will...(do you know what his will is for your life?) we are fighting against powers and principalities that don't want us to glorify, worship and acknowlege God. Their purpose is to get us to believe (eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow you die) opposite of what God commands (if you abide in me, I will abide in you)
