There are many good people on here and I ask for their personal advice. My girlfriend suffered a miscarriage yesterday. This would have been our second child. What resources are available to help her deal with such a terrible loss? Later, when she is doing better, I'll probably need a bit of advice for myself as well. Please remember, this is very real suffering I'm talking about, for both of us. At the moment I'm trying to decide whether or not to let her know I have pictures of the baby from the 4-D sonogram.

That anything is being accomplished here between Christian and Atheist questions alike? Christians are wating their time asking questions to Atheists, they have heard and will not believe, just like the the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Luke 16:19-31. "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will notbe convinced even if someone rises from the dead."
So i declare to all you christians that waste time arguing, it isnt going to work, asking questions to prove your point is stupid, we can do it all day long, these people have studied our bible only for the purpose of proving their point and have therefore convinced themselves through false interpretations that they are right, and that is how they will live their lives, ignoring what is right in front of them to apease their fleshly desires and do what they want without consequence.Their time will come, and i suggest you stop wasting your time and disciple to those who may listen.Stop throwing your pearls to the swine

I was brought up to be christian but I am starting to wonder and really take a look at my faith. Because the majoitry of christians I run into make me want to become an atheist. I was always taught by my parents that we do not have the right to judge anyone and we should be forgiving. In the end God is supposed to judge.
But I keep seeing christians preach hate. At my church that I currently attending people there direct so much hate toward gay marrige. I am not gay but I do not have a problem with gay people getting married. I belive that if its wrong then God will judge them in the end who the hell do we think we are that we can go about telling people what is right and wrong?
Its not just gay people too, its many other issues similar to this. A lady told a kid that he was going to go to hell because he got drunk. I have been so disgusted that I havent been to church in 3 months. I dunno did my parents teach me another religon?? Am I looking into this too deeply?

Do you believe that you should choose a religion for your child, or educate them on religion and let them make their own decision? And why do you believe this? And what religion are you part of?

There was a Baptist Minister who came to my church claiming to have died when he had a massive heart atack 20 years ago. He went on to say he saw Heaven and told my church( the congregation what it was like). He said there was no gender or time in Heaven or age because those things don't exist anymore. HIs name was Howard Pittman. I did a google search on him and it showed his name and talked about his near death experience. He also told my pastor that only about 5% of Christians are going to Heaven because too many people play church and don't really love God like they claim. Should I believe him? I am really confused now.

Would an Alien civilisation bow down to your Jesus too? I was just wondering.. It seems a bit self centred to think that we're the only ones out there.. so would it be the end for them as well?

After an obscene cartoon depicting the prophet Muhammed (PBUH) as a terrorist was released Muslim extremists didn't stand for it, but whenever Abraham (Ibraham), Jesus (Esa), King David(Daud), Moses (Musa) etc. are put in the same light they say nothing, these are all major prophets in the Muslim religion, all as infallible as Muhammed (PBUH). So why the outrage against Muhammed and little or none for the others?

Synopsis: "After she gets pregnant, a teenager finds herself shunned at her Baptist high school by her classmates and her devoutly religious friend who tries to get anyone outside the popular mainstream crowd expelled."

I'm atheist and I loved the movie, because to me it seemed to cover all the ranges of Christianity, the good and the bad. It was a cute comedy, and I loved the message at the end where the pregnant girl teaches that they should all be more accepting of other religions, homosexuality, and (obviously) teen pregnancy.

If you haven't seen it, I think you should. I'm not sure how Christians will view it, as it does poke a little fun in the beginning.
