I'm a 26 year old mother of a one year old and I find myself thinking about how much things have changed since I was a kid! We never wore seatbelts (much less five point harnesses), no one had a bike helmet, we ate candy cigarettes, our "cell phone" came in a breifcase (and this was the height of technology), and although we had a computer (the comodor 64) no one even dreamed a computer could do what they are capable of now! How have things changed since you were a kid?

Psychology cannot figure out the human mind. They're constantly "re-evaluating" their beliefs.

But astrology never changes. It has remained strong for several centuries!

Which one should you believe?

I'm sure that Jehovah Witnesses do a lot of good things...like not going to war, but this also means that they prohibit their own from being in the military or having any allegiance to any form of government. Blood transfusions are considered wrong, so they would refuse a life saving transfusion because they believe that the soul is in the blood.

They err in their doctrine as they do not believe in the Trinity therefore denying the divinity of Christ and making Him inferior to God.

Another major error is in their doctrine of salvation. "[They] must show faith in God and in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. [AND] Adhere to the practices, requirements, commandments, laws, and sacraments of the faith. "Witnessing" and active sharing of their faith with others is fundamental. Avoid behaviors that God dislikes, including celebration of birthdays and holidays originating from false religions."

Mass legeslator just voted to stop the issue of changing the constitution to define marriage by the voters.

Isn't it sad that in a democracy the voice of the people need to be repressed, and silenced?

Why are liberals so scared of the freedom to vote? Is force the only way to further your agenda?

ok, so, I am studying religions, mainly the abrahamic ones to begin, which are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The more I am learning about their origins the more I am loosing faith in human kind. Don't people see the manipulation of the original various prophets messages? And the corruption that religious institutions have caused? Why do people follow blindly? For example, Jesus took in women, gentiles, etc... and he did not believe in discrimination. And now look at the church, since Emperor Constatine decided to turn Christianity into Rome's religion, as a political and military power move, they designed Jesus teachings to fit Rome's patriarchal society, which was not Jesus's intention what soever. Same with Judaism and Islam, Abraham had a great vision, but it got so corrupted, its not that half the globe decided to become Christian or Muslim, they were conqueredand and forced. Why are people soblind to recognize the truth of their worped faiths?

If so, how did his body lose the bloating upon resurrection? I know this sounds gross but bear with me. I understand that a miracle took place that made him rise from the dead. I am just wondering if his corpse began any of the normal decomposition processes during those 3 days. Also, what kept the bugs off of him?

Thank you in advance for giving serious thought to this quite serious question.

If you were to wish someone well (someone who, for example, was in the hospital recovering from surgery and who had awoken from a coma... just as a hypothetical), how would you phrase your "get well" wishes? Would you pray to a deity, give thanks to the physicians, light a candle, say a prayer, etc?

If so, that contradicts Mark 9:43.

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Palestinians, we sympathize with you in this hard time. If the Arabs can boycott medicine, cell phones, computers and many other Israeli made things, we MUST stay strong and boycott towels and sand.

If anyone else can think of any other major contributions the Palestinian people have made to the general public please post up!

Should we boycott caves and camels as well? How about tents?

then doesnt that mean that the most basic tennet of your religion is very hard to understand and perhaps incomprehensible by the majority of mankind who are neither geniuses or theologians or priests?

Why would God make the most basic tennet of your religion so hard to comprehend for the masses?

I am sure if you walked into any Elbow Room Bar and asked the people who were sucking down Jim Beam, smoking cigars if they believed in GOD you would have 50% that would say yes and 50% per cent that would say no.

Why do you think people cannot understand that having a personal relationship with GOD is what prevents you from being destructive, doing things that would be harmful to yourself and to others? Our flesh is weak to sickness, addictions, emotional upheavals and death it's Christ who makes us strong and frees us from death..Why do people have trouble with the 2 concepts in your opinion?

ghosts, I just assumed that it was nothing. But last night, I saw this figure of a girl. It's white, sort of transparent like. I hear a child's laughter...I get very cold. I started to shiver, and it's like 80 degrees out. Then, I feel like I could speak to her. I try to ignore her, but I just see her out the corner of my eye. I thought I was going crazy! so, I just told myself not to worry. Then, I see this faint image of a man in a suit. And I get this weird feeling that he's my grandfather. It's very strange, and I just try to block it out. Can someone please tell me if I'm really seeing a ghost? I also started to write in my journal, and I then got into this weird state. I start writing but it looks like scribbles, it's like I couldn't control my writing. I looked it up online, and it's referred to as "automatic writing." I just think this is all so strange.

Why do Blacks complain so much about rights in this Country, since they were imports and the INDIANS that were here are the real Americans who should have a complaint. Their Country was taken from them and they were put on Reservations. What exactly does the ter AFRICAN AMERICAN mean. Your either African or you are American. Few if any blacks in this Country are African and wouldn't survive in Africa.

It seems to me that being bisexual means that you need a relationship with members of both genders to be completely happy, so I think that would make a committed relationship like marriage, life partnership, or just long-term dating difficult. Am I way off here?

i ask this because you are supposed to treat your body as your temple. cigarettes of course cause many diseases, and dope altars your state of mind like alcohol. is it a sin to do either of these. also, i know many christians who smoke cigarettes, how can they justify this, assuming that it's a sin

I have been seeing a guy he is 10 years older than me and we get along great. He is smart, witty, and sexy. He is affectionate and we cuddle and stuff but the sex is lacking. I am versatile and he is a top. The thing is I have yet to get off. Should I tell him that he needs to step up? I take care of him he should at least do the same, right? I am more oral and prefer that way but I’d take anything at this point. That's a big part of a relationship and everything else seems to be great. How can I overcome this?
