Go to Lavasoft, download Ad-aware, download the updates, run the "Smart Scan". This should help with the first two issues.
As for being nice to one another, that's not what we're about here.

I will answer this question because the word "namaste" wasn't in it.
We are trying to fix our daughter's computer which has slowed to a glacial pace - I think the fix might be to take it to a tall building and let gravity do its work.
