Synopsis: "After she gets pregnant, a teenager finds herself shunned at her Baptist high school by her classmates and her devoutly religious friend who tries to get anyone outside the popular mainstream crowd expelled."

I'm atheist and I loved the movie, because to me it seemed to cover all the ranges of Christianity, the good and the bad. It was a cute comedy, and I loved the message at the end where the pregnant girl teaches that they should all be more accepting of other religions, homosexuality, and (obviously) teen pregnancy.

If you haven't seen it, I think you should. I'm not sure how Christians will view it, as it does poke a little fun in the beginning.

I saw it just the other day personally as a christian i thought that it it made us look bad her friend that was religious in the end was portrayed as an hypocrite they made her look the bad person and not to mention that it made christians appear in a way that they aren't they made it seem as if we try to condem people and conduct group prayers about one personal problem and put their business on full blast but in reality the Bible says that we should go into a quiet place and pray.
i thought that the movie sent out the wrong message that christians were pushy and hypocritical which in most cases isnt true and the fact that the pregnant girl never truned back to God was disapointing but the one thing that i do agree with is that the ''head master'' of the school should allow all types of people come to their school because the Bible does say that Jesus hung out with all types of people no matter their beliefs or life style because we are to love everyone.

I like the movie, it takes a very honest approach to the struggles that teens go through who are raised in such an environment. I also found it hilarious because I grew up in a Christian community and I know a lot of people exactly like those characters!

It is actually quite relevant to real life.

Many christians on the inside don't realize how judgemental and twisted their religion is until they fall victime to events that lead them to a taboo circumstance.

All of a sudden their close loving friends have no patience or love for them anymore, and they quickly realize the truth.

I have seen this happen to many friends, including my girlfriend (although I do not mean pregnancy before marriage).

It cops out at the end.

The protagonist's group is moving towards atheism by leaps and bounds, the antagonist group getting more and more entrenched in dogma and lying for Jesus.

But at the end, everyone stop and goes back to being happy, clappy Christians.

I thought it was hilarious, but since I am working on a cure for cancer I was bothered by the amount of cigarette smoking linked with NOT being a fundie.

Using it as a symbol was nifty, and I *got* it, but the movie was directed at teens....

I thought it was cute, and portrayed very realistically the way some alleged Christians act towards others.
