Okayy... the world has problems no surprise there, but the fact that they keep gettin worse is an even bigger problem and also consider more than half the planet doesn't seem to care at all.

The States aren't even gonna consider doin anything about the emissions until 2050 and keep in mind that it only took about 85years for the atmosphere to get as fukt up as it is now.

The issue first started getting concern about 10 years ago and the industrial revolution wasn't fully established until the early 1900's

so another 45-80+years (it'll take tons of time to adjust the amount of emissions) and that doesnt account for the fact that even AFTER we adjust the amount of emissions that there will still be emissions either way!

So our planet is gonna be looking at global disaster in either my life (i'm only 20) or my childrens life... and that upsets me.

So whether it's divine intervention or our own destructive nature... the end of the world is comin up. which would u prefer?

Here it is, from Clement of Alexandria himself, a source often referred to by zealous Christians as an authority.

Fragment E

He was continent, enduring all things. Jesus digested divinity; he ate and drank in a special way, without excreting his solids. He had such a great capacity for continence that the nourishment within him was not corrupted, for he did not experience corruption.

He's actually saying that Jesus didn't poop.

The beliefs of the early Church are always entertaining to read.

What is christianity anyway? Whats the difference?

I like everything what Jesus says, but I'm not always okay with what God says. Is Jesus okay if we use birth control? Is Jesus okay if I marry with an atheist?

There are so many stuff in religions.

In response to a letter from Abgarus Uchama.

"Blessed art thou that hast believed in me, not having seen me.

For it is written concerning me that they that have seen me shall not believe in me, and that they that have not seen me shall believe and live. But concerning that which thou hast written to me, to come unto thee; it must needs be that I fulfil all things for the which I was sent here, and after fulfilling them should then be taken up unto him that sent me.

And when I am taken up, I will send thee one of my disciples, to heal thine affliction and give life to thee and them that are with thee."

Reading the nonsense that the early Christian Church had in it's possession and considered authentic always brings a smile to my face.

It wasn't until centuries later, under Constantine, that the Christians were forced to select which Gospels and Epistles were considered authoritative.

But the Gospels and Letters that really formed the early Church canon are much, much funnier.

Do you consider yourself more liberal or more conservative when it comes to politics?

Would you be more likely to feel upset by a non-christian who insulted the bible.
or
A christian who was using the bible to promote ideas you felt were wrong.

Yes, God told them to not do it. But what reason would they have to doubt another part of creation? They had no knowledge of good and evil until they ate. The serpent deceived them, but why would they doubt it? It didn't say, "Don't obey God!" It said, "Eat this, it will make you wise and more like God" And if they really admired God so much, wouldn't they want to be like him?

I imagine some people will just continue to say, "They disobeyed God, so they deserved punishment." Maybe... but I ask you to really consider the above. Also, if God is really so great and they had direct knowledge of and experience with him, why would they ever disobey?

Now that I think about it, if disobedience is evil, how could they know that what they were doing is wrong if they hadn't eaten yet to know good from evil?

I like what you guys teach about the bible and Jesus being a creation by Jehovah, but I'm a little confused on what your beliefs are about the end. I think you guys predicted the end a few times and nothing happened. and now you say that the generation of 1914 will see the end. Do you guys still teach that or have your teachings changed about the end. Also who is in charge of making these predictions?

Please only Jehovah's witnesses answer this. I don't want other christian sects mocking JW's. I think Christians who belief in a three-headed Trinitirian God and a hell are ignorant to the truth. Thanks.

India! Tamil Films:

Our heroes! They seduce, molest, rape, murder, utter lies, cheat and our courts release them either for want of proof or for want of witnesses who do not come forward fearing murderous reprisals.

Our heroines! Scantly dressed and in dances, they cradle heir hips, jerk their buttocks, expose thighs downwards, and try to throw out their top natural baby-feeding projections. I am yet to see them raping boys. If they do, sure, another box office hit!

Our heroes and heroines! They engage in sticking long-time embraces, invite one another with winking signs for a kiss or more, thrash, disobey or scold parents in abusive language and elope to show that they can live on their own making parents to regret their earlier relationship rejection.

And when these greats appear in public to grace social functions they are thronged in adoration and media go all out to fill its space even with the colour of the dress they wear. What a change in generational outlook!

It seems that a number of Christians can't get their head around the idea that some people really don't believe in God and insist that secretly we do. Well, not only do I not believe in your God but I also think it even more unrealistic than a Deist's idea of God.

Why is it that you don't think it possible not to believe? Can't you imagine anyone else having different experiences and thoughts to you? I'd be intrigued to know the thinking behind this attitude.

I just witnessed a person having a complete meltdown -- she was screaming and yelling at another person. (She felt she was being overcharged for a service.) This person finally calmly but firmly said "That's enough," which I thought was a good response, but it sent the screaming woman into an even bigger rage.

So if someone is having a total meltdown and screaming at you, what IS a good thing to say to quiet them down?

Although I am agnostic, I can understand if the Bible, and possibly other religious books were true, why God could allow the suffering to go on, here on earth.
But I want to hear your justification, if you believe in God.

I found their explantations very logical and reasonable... but there were some people who said they were ex-mormons and they lied about most of the stuff?

Why would you intentionally lie about mormons? I see a lot of hate towards them and not much evidence to support this hate.

I have met a mormon and he seemed to very a good caring person.

So... why do some of you hate Mormons?

The full quote:
Early in the museum, the visitor is given advice on the proper mind frame to have for your visit: “Don’t think, just listen and believe”. [..] Human Reason is the enemy and God’s Word is the hero. Descartes represents Human Reason, saying “I think, therefore I am”. But God tells us there no need to waste your beautiful mind, for God says “I am that I am”.

If Christians don't put any value on mans amazing ability to reason (something God would have designed, correct?) how can any reasonable person take their claims seriously? The claim is as good as saying that although we use reason via forensics to determine the past, we cannot use reason to determine our history! How could any person who stands behind this belief think they can be taken seriously? People who don't reason are classified as 'insane', which is defined by someone who is unable to learn (which you need reason for) from repetitive mistakes. How can any of the bible even be argued, cuz that requires reason!

If so, why does he say:
• 1 Cor. 4:4-5 - I am not conscious of anything against me, but I do not thereby stand acquitted; the one who judges me is the Lord. 5 Therefore, do not make any judgment before the appointed time, until the Lord comes , for he will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts
• 1 Cor. 9:27 - I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
• Phil. 3:12-13 - It is not that I have already taken hold of it or have already attained perfect maturity, but I continue my pursuit in hope that I may possess it, since I have indeed been taken possession of by Christ (Jesus).13 Brothers, I for my part do not consider myself to have taken possession
• Phil. 1:18-20 - ... Christ is being proclaimed? ... I know that this will result in deliverance for me ...20 My eager expectation and hope is that I shall not be put to shame in any way
