If so, why does he say:
• 1 Cor. 4:4-5 - I am not conscious of anything against me, but I do not thereby stand acquitted; the one who judges me is the Lord. 5 Therefore, do not make any judgment before the appointed time, until the Lord comes , for he will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts
• 1 Cor. 9:27 - I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
• Phil. 3:12-13 - It is not that I have already taken hold of it or have already attained perfect maturity, but I continue my pursuit in hope that I may possess it, since I have indeed been taken possession of by Christ (Jesus).13 Brothers, I for my part do not consider myself to have taken possession
• Phil. 1:18-20 - ... Christ is being proclaimed? ... I know that this will result in deliverance for me ...20 My eager expectation and hope is that I shall not be put to shame in any way

Bettyboop:
He is faithful and he will not abandone us, but we can kick him out of our hearts by our sin, so how can you be saved after that?
See 2 Tim. 2:11-12 - This saying is trustworthy: If we have died with him we shall also live with him; 12 if we persevere we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us

You are right when you say "as long as..", so OSAS above all wrong things we may do is not right. As said in 1 Cor. 15:2 - 2 Through it you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, otherwise you have believed in vain

You are right St Paul did not teach "Once Saved,Always Saved" and neither did Jesus or any other NT author.

In gentle of the scriptures you quoted, how do you give an explanation for the myth of the prodigal son in Luke Chapter 15? As for the grafting in of the Gentiles, that has to do with the Gentiles who consider and comply with Jesus Christ fitting followed into the household of God of which God selected the Jewish folks. Therefore, Gentiles might now not be Jewish except they're grafted into the basis that's Jesus Christ (a Jew). Another phrase for the grafting in is adoption.

my comment, you must mean "ONCE saved always saved". anyway there's a difference, Protestant & Catholic thought. some evangelists preach, Christ's "finished work" -- be that as it may, an extreme is (someone in Reformation days) saying, in effect, "Just believe, & do what you will" -- Catholic thought tends more toward, quoting the same St. Paul, "work out your salvation in fear & trembling". meaning we can't assume too much on Christ's merits, we also have to do our part -- live 'a Christian life'. anyway -- recently, a reconciliation -- Man saved by Grace, comp. faith-only (traditional Prot. view) or over-emphasis on Works (RC). complicated, maybe -- but food for thought.

1. Where did I come from?
2. What is this place I have been born into?
3. Who am I?
4. Where am I going?
If one cannot understand these four questions, how can he or she possibly know if he or she is saved, or whether it is permanent.
If these cannot be answered in "Truth" one is living in a state of delusion, otherwise known as caught up in illusion.

What you fail to consider is the fact that those who are truly saved (born of God) will inevitably persevere and the faith and in a behavior consistent with that faith to the end.
Thus of those who leave the faith whether doctrinally or morally we can say, "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." 1JOhn 2:19 For "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." 1John 2:9,10 And " We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him." 1John 5:18
But what Paul and others point out as well is the fact that, even though once saved always saved, a person's assurance of salvation is proportional to the degree to which the behave as a child of God should.

I think you get a reward for what you have done after conversion. That is building up your faith. So Paul did not want to miss out on his reward for faithful service. He fulfilled his course - the path God had for him to accomplish, of bringing the gospel to gentiles.
There will be many in heaven, who just get through because they trusted in Christ. But they will be mighty disappointed at not having used their time on Earth well.

using a bible to prove a bible is about as ludicrous and using Peanuts cartoons to prove other Peanuts cartoon enigmas
I think Paul, being born in Tarsus, was a con man who claimed he was a Pharisee and studied under Gamaliel (impossible) all his life while dually being a religious policeman for the Sadducee High Priest chasing down the rebel sects of the Jews and killing them
His own undoing comes from Acts 15, 21 and 22 where he is caught conflicting the teachings of a Jewish Jesus, then again and to prove it, is made to perform the ritual of circumcision for new converts to Judaism against his professions of Jesus' revelations then is mobbed and caught, jumps ship and claims neither Christianity or Judaism and goes with Roman Citizen to save his butt

he saying that in everything he does he doesn't want to be at fault for any misrepresentation of Jesus Christ , he was aware of his every move , Paul was a very sweet guy on earth , you know he once said god has made marriage but he didn't want it for himself . he is a funny man, he also said that sin is a endless struggle on earth , he said he does what he shouldn't do and vice versa

I am not conscious of anything against me, but do not thereby stand acquitted, the One who judges me is the Lord.. Therefore do not make any judgement before the appointed time until the Lord comes for He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts.
Brother Paul in this verse his not questioning is Eternal Salvation but He was speaking regarding the matter of Faithfulness as stewards of the Lord.
This Chapter 4 is a follow-up from Chapter 3 which speaks of us being God's cultivated Land, God's Building. That as believers we need to build upon the foundation already laid.. CHRIST.. that we need to take heed how we build and make sure we are building according to the Spirit with the Gold, Silver and Precious stones and NOT according to our own natural abilities as seen in the wood, grass and stubble.
Our works will be tried by Fire in the day of the Lord and only the things done by us in and by the Spirit will stand. Not the natural goodness of our hearts.. or things done for the approval of men.. but God. who shows and will manifest things that are in our hearts will judge.
1 Cor9-27 ..Our brother realized first and foremost that he has Only God as His sufficiency. There is NO confidence in his flesh...thus he lived a crucified life under the Cross of Christ. He buffetted his body and made IT submit to the ruling Christ in his spirit..
In Phil 3:12-13 Brother Paul was sharing regarding Pursuing Christ to lay hold of Christ. That he counted all things loss for the excellency of the Knowledge of Christ.
Our Brother was not questioning his salvation rather.. he realized that until the journey was completed he will continue to pursue Christ to the end. There was again no confidence in his flesh (vs 10) but only On Christ his Lord.
Phil 1: 18-20...Our brother is proclaiming that He knows that " this" imprisonment will work out to salvation through the saints's in Philipi's petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus CHrist.. that according to his ernest expectation and hope that in nothing he will be put to shame..but with all boldness as always.. even then.. CHrist will be magnified in his body whether through life or death.. for to Paul to Live was Christ and to die was gain.
He was not again questioning salvation here..but rather gaining more of Christ in his being through all the sufferings and the through the prayer and the bountiful supply of Christ's Spirit to him.
OUR SALVATION IS ETERNAL.. but we need to be warned.. during the 1000 Year rule of the Kingdom some of us may be disqualitfied to share in this due to the fact that we'd much rather live our own lives now as christians.. do things our way.. and not live according to the Spirit and live a crucified life as our brother Paul did... we want to build God's house with our own natural abilities rather than build according to God in us...we bury our talents in the earth rather than invest it unto a gain to the Lord...Paul did not want to be found wanting before the Judgement seat of Christ on that day... He wanted his works to stand when they went through the fire ... He wanted his talents to gain many more for the Lord's glory... He took Christ as his way and truth and life each day... denied the self..took up the Cross and followed Jesus the Lamb whereever He may go
May we as Christians take this pattern.. or like the man in Matthew 22.. who did not have on the proper wedding garment.. was cast into the outer darkness.. for discipline from God for 1000 years during the 1000 Reign of the Kingdom...After which we'd have been throughly transformed by the Lord and now " fit" for the building of God and the House of God as the New Jerusalem...

Sin separates us from God. Whether we have been saved or not. I think Paul had a good grasp on this. We need to repent when we sin. Christ has already forgiven us, we merely need to acknowledge our short comings.
