When you pray, do you kneel, or take a knee?

At home I pray in my bed mostly. At church I bow on two knees because they ask us to kneel down. I talk to God off and on all day long....in whatever position I happen to be in at the time I want to say something to Him.

Ruku: Bending at the waist
Sadja: Prostate (on knees, forehead on floor, hands on floor on either side of the head)

...and rising from sadja, kneeling and cupping hands and raising them to God.

Five times a day, alhamdulillah!

No I don't kneel.

Prayer is great for timing ... while I pray the Rosary, I sprint every "Our Father" ... so, it kinda puts God in charge of my exercise regime. Lately, I've been having to sprint during the steepest part of the mountain ... wonder what God's trying to tell me on that one... hmmm.

Sometimes, my body is all tied in knotts (from playing too hard) so I'll take up the "Triangle" or "Down Dog" position and meditate on scripture.

I always sing Edleweiss when I get up to keep me happy.

i take a knee when i enter God's house. i kneel in prayer whenever i'm so moved. sometimes i sit, stand, drive or - even shower!

It is humbling to bow before God. I do get down on my knees often. At times I just pray as I am driving or showering or sitting and waiting.. It depends on the situation.
I do not think God hears us any less if we are not on our knees!

Why should we? just sit on the chair or you can stand up while your pray .................... any style you like.
