on Yahoo Answers? It seems like this troll blocker has spurred a rash of ludacris reports. Anyone agree? Do you think this is happening because people know that they can get another person REMOVED from Yahoo period? Do you agree with this total removal for offenders, or should they just be banned from the forum?

I was talking about the evolution creation debate with some friends of mine over dinner. My friend’s dad believes in creation and I believe in evolution. I was talking about an experiment biologists did were they put a bunch of plants and animals in an artificial environment that is slightly different to Earths natural environment, and just let them sit to see what happened. All the life forms changed but the plants more so. The plants changed shape in a way that was more adept to survive in this artificial environment. He said I was blind because it obviously took intelligence to make this happen. Basically what he was arguing was that if we replicate something, then the thing we replicate was intelligently designed. With this logic I could say that if I melt a rock and make lava, a volcano is intelligent.

I ate at Burger King for lunch today and saw a family pause to pray before digging in.

Growing up, grace before meals was for family dinners eaten at the home. My mother would single out one of us kids, or defer to a guest, to say grace. But if the same people who were at that meal were to eat out the following night, we wouldn't pray before eating - the subject wouldn't even come up.

Do you pray before every meal, or just under certain circumstances? What is the logic behind your decision? What was your religious upbringing?

but ANYWAY...

what i am so damn confused about is how some people think god protects them so well and everything happens for a reason???

like do ALL the people who get killed or raped deserve it? NO THEY DON'T! and killers and rapers getting out of trouble...well they DESERVE to stay in trouble

Could extreme nationalism be considered blasphemous?

Is there an argument to be found in the observation that pledging "allegiance" to a "flag" resembles idolatry? Yes, God told us to obey the laws of the land, but do not forget that we can change those laws, policies, and elected officials when they have been corrupted.

I mean, a government acts based on what is most beneficial for its citizens, usually in economic terms. But where some gain, others lose. When Jesus fed the hungry in the paradigm of the fishes and loaves, he wasn't being polite. He was teaching them to share.

The actions of Christ and the actions of the Federal Reserve do not coincide. Would it be a sin to condone an international trade policy that kept others in poverty? Is it folly to shed your beliefs at the ballot box?

I know there are people who go to church and they smile and speak to others, but the majority of people who are in church come in and leave with sour looks on their faces and won't return a smile. Why do they go to church if they are such self-centered and unhappy people?

I wonder how the word Christian has went from ascetic peace seeker to fear mongering Gonzalez and other Attny Generals who used their office to promote own views and discourage others

even more curious is how Fox News has become nothing more than state sponsored / corporate sponsored fear/hate of others, supposedly 'God fearing', supposedly "fair and ballanced" but really an entertainment and nothing about reporting facts just "talking points" that are prejudiced

I wonder if any Christians still support Bush as "their man of God" given his attrocious track record and decline of the standing of the US since his take over and promotion of wars, scandals and Faith Based Initiatives that failed in Texas but failed on a National Scale in White House

Men always say that they cannot judge another man. Yet, they can definately say if he is unattractive. Women look and compare. We may look at another woman's cleavage and think that ours is better, or just admire what she is wearing. So men, HONESTLY, have you ever checked a guy out and admired what you were looking at.

I had recently written in my 360 blog about going to the beach for the weekend with my husband for our anniversary. I got a message from a Christian who suggested a nice church in the area. I told them that I appreciated the gesture, but I don't think we are planning on attending another church while we are on vacation. I was promptly told that I shouldn't ignore God for the sake of a beach trip.

Although I do feel that church is important, God is everywhere and I don't feel that I have to be in a building at a structured service to worship him.

I had never heard this argument before. Is it wide-held amongst Christians, or is it just this person's views?

Do you seek out a church to attend when your family goes on vacation?
