I have to say I am more in tune with your second statement: "God will accept people from all faiths as long as they live a good and honest life". God is Loving and Forgiving, and hence, I feel those who lead a good life deserve to be in heaven just as much as those who chose to lead their lives through Jesus's example. Think about it: that murderer from Wichita, KS was a Christian, and went to church regularly...yet, he killed, and killed many times. Does he deserve to go to heaven more than a God loving and peacefully leaving Jew, Muslim, Hindu or Buddist? Does he deserve heaven at all? I think no.

I believe God accepts all WHO has faith. But it's not good and honest living that gets you to Heaven. It's if you have been born again- and if you believe God sent his Son to die on the cross for your sins. It's through the blood!!

I never tell anyone that they personally are going to hell.. I am not the Holy Spirit. I have no authority to make such a judgment. I have been told by the Spirit and through the Word of God (Bible). That a person must be born again to go to Heaven. That is born of the spirit. Without that God judge.... Jim

All true Christians believe what the Bible says- those who accept Christ will be in heaven those who do not will not and be in hell- as harsh as this sounds, look at it from the standpoint of God's love- His son chose to die for us, so that we can be in heaven. Interesting you would ask this question to Christians only- are you seeking?

All faiths are not praying to the same god. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father (God) but by me" Jesus is our ticket to God and our ticket into heaven. He has given us the choice. Choose this day - life (accepting Jesus) or death (denying Jesus). It is our choice and our choice only. God doesn't make people go to hell. People choose that themselves. God makes the rules and - by golly - I am trying to abide by those rules.

I personally feel that there is validity to all faiths, and that God is most concerned with the nature of our hearts. For me, I feel that following the commandments of Christ is the best way to connect with God and to live a life that pleases him.

I just can not believe that the same God who took human form and suffered on a cross for all of humanity would send anyone to suffer for an eternity in hell.

I do believe that people that has never decided to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ and hasn't been baptized will go to Hell (or Hades).

2 Thessalonians 1 (HCSB, Holman Christian Standard Bible)

Greeting
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy:

To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

God's Judgment and Glory

3 We must always thank God for you, brothers, which is fitting, since your faith is flourishing, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. 4 Therefore we ourselves boast about you among God's churches—about your endurance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you endure. 5 It is a clear evidence of God's righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God's kingdom, for which you also are suffering, 6 since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and [to reward] with rest you who are afflicted, along with us. [This will take place] at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels, 8 taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don't know God and on those who don't obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 These will pay the penalty of everlasting destruction, away from the Lord's presence and from His glorious strength, 10 in that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed. 11 And in view of this, we always pray for you that our God will consider you worthy of His calling, and will, by His power, fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith, 12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified by you, and you by Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
