Bring on your best religious joke.

Can you make him laugh?

I'd say...God how could you leave out Nintendo in the Bible when there's already a Genesis? :-)

I got this from another question. It made me think of our internal organs and all that they are designed to do. Does anyone have any theories how we got here from that common ancestor millions of years ago?

I think that God was the big bang and that is how we got these complex bodies we live in. I just want to know what the scientific community has to say about it.

This fatuous person wanted to know if a co-worker thought her breasts were big because she dissed someone on crutches. I responded as follows: "ou are an egotistical, insecure little girl who thinks that her oh-so fabulous ta-tas are her best asset. Start being real around people and get over yourself." Was I out of line?

If you have just met someone who wants to talk to you about a possible business venture, and he states that he will meet you at a coffee shop at a certain time to discuss it, how long will you wait for him there if he is late? (Let's assume you have no way to contact him)

Yes, a person born into an Indian tribe who follows the native religion, as all other children do, chooses to go to your hell. Sure, they know of Christianity, just as many Christians know of many other religions around the world. A person born in many parts of Asia will most likely be a Hindu, in other parts a Buddhist. It amazes me that the complete lack of logic in some people's thought processes.

Studies show that around 3/4, or 75% of adults get their adult religion directly from their parents. This is quite a staggering figure. It is pretty clear that religion is based on little more than culture. Until someone gets some backing to their religion, it is pretty twisted to say that those of other religions or no religious beliefs choose to go your fairy tale Hell. Though I doubt many of you who use such logic could possibly read this far, so I'll degress......

Because he did not appreciate the mocking, the hypocrisy of so many people who claimed to be following the word of God?

When the Temple in Jerusalem was built it was built for God. It was supposed to be a sanctuary where people could safely go and worship, no worship taking place, it was all about money, money, money, like it was a bank or a shore where trading is to take place.

Jesus turned over the money tables. Everything became mixed up and confusing.

Do most people want to think Jesus was so docile he just laid down like a lap dog to be whipped? he laid down his life on his own so we could have a chance to live, where would we be now if he did not do that?

Previously, unsaved children went to limbo, a neutral afterlife. Now the Pope changed his mind and says they go to heaven. What happens to limbo now? Will the space be used for other purposes? Who's going to move all the people?

What kind of ingredients did he use?

How long did it take?

What was the procedure? Details please. Do not give me answers like Genesis. Decribe how he made you like how a baker would describe how he makes his favorite dessert.

Be creative!

alright i just thought of this as i answered someone elses question..

for all of those who think bible is the word of god yadda yadda.. :)

the way i see its a pile of stories (maybe true maybe not)..
either way... over the thousands years.. and the people who have said it spread it all around.. how can you be sure its all 100% the way it was?

I mean you've played the telephone game right.. one person says a sentence and its passed around the circle and comes out as something totatlly different.. . i mean after all those years.. and all those people.. adding on their point of view or what they think.. blah blah blah..

doesn't it make you wonder.. :)

Remember this one:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray dear Lord my soul you'll keep,
If I should die before I wake,
I pray dear Lord, my sould you'll take.

Isn't this a bad prayer to have children say before going to sleep?

If I should die before I wake? Geesh...are you trying to give the kid's nightmares.

It is interesting that even at a young age fundamentalists are trying to scare people into believing in God....they try to brainwash people even with children's bedtime prayers..

Your thoughts?
