Yes, a person born into an Indian tribe who follows the native religion, as all other children do, chooses to go to your hell. Sure, they know of Christianity, just as many Christians know of many other religions around the world. A person born in many parts of Asia will most likely be a Hindu, in other parts a Buddhist. It amazes me that the complete lack of logic in some people's thought processes.
Studies show that around 3/4, or 75% of adults get their adult religion directly from their parents. This is quite a staggering figure. It is pretty clear that religion is based on little more than culture. Until someone gets some backing to their religion, it is pretty twisted to say that those of other religions or no religious beliefs choose to go your fairy tale Hell. Though I doubt many of you who use such logic could possibly read this far, so I'll degress......

Apparently someone doesn't know what a generalization is. You can not have a generalization with the aiding word "some"

God said, "to those who are perishing, the teaching of the Cross is foolishness."
You are choosing to reject Jesus Christ and God has clearly established that Jesus is the only way to heaven.
Keep your eyes on Israel. You will see the Bible come true right before your very eyes. Anyone, who knows anything about the Bible, knows that Bible prophesies all come true.
The Book is the Word of the Living God my friend. And you choose to ignore it.

Some argue that it's not the faith in a certain god, but rather that you have faith at all. There's definitely logic to your geographic to religion comparison, as well as your numbers that clearly show religion being passed on through familial generations. Anyone that has half a brain realizes that it's not something that you believe that makes you a great person it's how you act towards others that really matters.
Lastly, Mrs Mndu, or whatever your name is. You've missed the point. Realize that you are incorrectly making assumptions regarding the scripture. From Dust you Shall Return is correct although realize that it also says in the bible that those who sin and repent will be welcomed with open arms into heaven. There's not direct correlation with sin and hell, but rather it's those that are sorry for their sins that are welcomed. We all sin that much is a fact, based on your false conclusions everyone would go to hell. (This isn't necessarily what I believe, I just had to clarify your generalization.) Besides that your concept of free will is slanted as well. Free will is the right to chose, you have no idea what the consequences maybe of each side until you actually go through the situation. Regardless you DO have the right to chose, hence you have free will. Similar to crimes you know there's punishment and you have free will you decide whether or not you commit the crime.

While there certainly is a large number of theologians who would agree with the first statement, what there would be disagreement on is HOW that actually works out.
For instance, there are schools of thought that would see Romans as arguing for grace through natural revelation, which is available to all.
The Old Testament figures are presented as having faith in what God will do (looking forward to the coming of the Messiah/Christ), and that is the saving faith for them. Following Christ, Christians are saved by trusting in what God has ALREADY done (looking back in time).
So, in other words, there are in house debates, and this remains not resolved in this world.
What is clear is that those who reject the Gospel message, treat God and Christ with contempt, scorn, mockery... and do not change will clearly be in Hell by choice...
Also I would add that you have confused cause and effect in your second paragraph... your quoting of studies showing 75% of adults "getting their adulte religion directly from their parents" is a misstatement. What is shows is that 75% of adults chose the religious world view of their parents. It does NOT show HOW that happened... You then expound that shows that "It is pretty clear that religion is based on little more than culture". Your statement is NOT supportable by the studies that you referenced. Without knowing the mechanism of how people adopt the same religion of parents, you cannot make blanket statements that assume cause and effect when what you are in reality quoting is a correlation. Parents influence their children for better or worse, and to varying degrees. Your extrapolation that religion is cultural is laden with unproven/unprovable assumptions.

Well said, I was watching a show last night about a expedition into , a place where no person from the outside world has ever been. There are so many of these places that will never hear a word of Christianity, what happens to those people? Do they get into Heaven anyway of do they go to hell?

God will judge you on what has been revealed to you. Of course you can't call on the name of Jesus to be saved if you haven't even heard his name, but you do see nature. Romans 1:20 tells us that no human being will have an excuse. Now if you're mental handy or an infant God knows what you know, so he'll save people that are incapable of right and wrong. But even if you don't know who Jesus is, you know what right and wrong are because it's written in our hearts and you know that there is a supreme being because the stars reveal that, there is no excuse other then turning away.

The idea of an eternally burning hellfire as punishment for ANYTHING, is completely at odds with the concept of a God of love.
The idea that people believe this about God makes me feel sick to my stomach. Especially when they gleefully tell other people "You're going to HELL!" Sometimes I think they enjoy saying it. I'm glad it's God in charge, and not people like that.
Free will isn't free will if we're forced to obey out of fear of suffering the worst thing imaginable, like burning forever.
Jay K: I'm not making any assumptions, incorrect or otherwise. The simple fact is that God told Adam the only possible punishment for sin and it was non-existence, the state he was in before he was created. What loving God would give a command and then forget to mention the penalty for disobeying was burning forever? It ridiculous. You're making God out to be a worse monster than the Devil.

Is that supposed to be an insult on the intelligence level of Christians? I have a 122 IQ and I most certainly believe in Hell.

It is not "our" hell. It is just hell, created by GOD.
100% of ALL ppl will get the chance to know the truth soon, whether they want to or not!
If you think hell is a fairy tale place why are you so worried about it?? Go on with the "thumbs down" thing but again I say that you will do that because the idea that hell is real makes you nervous and it should!

People who are different than me deserve to suffer, that sounds like the religious argument. Wouldn't it be funny if they discovered the the Hindus were right.
