You go to a sikh gurudwara, more than 30% worshippers will be hindus
you go to muslims worship places ( nizamuddin,Ajmer) a big crowd of hindus will be seen worshipping there
Many of my friends go to church with their christian friends

BUT I have never seen any sikh, muslim or christian coming to hindu temples ? Rather they insult and mock at our faiths

Should hindus also stop going to their places ?

...with zeal to destroy the Light that is within us?

I mean, I know darkess hates the Light (Jesus).
"For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."
And I know adversities are eminent.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

But do you experience THIS kind of obsession in your daily lives?

Let's see, what can I share. I can share my life. Most people don't know that I contemplate reality, pretty much all day every day. Some of my close friends know this, but they don't know the extent of how I do it. They know I'm out there and in the "ether," but they essentially don't know what I'm up to.

So, what am I up to? I'm contemplating the truth, and it feels great. I'm contemplating God, and playing around with logical analysises. Thoughts. Little tiddly winks. Basically having fun with my own nature and learning more about God.

Um, other than that, I spend quiet times at home, occasionally going out to interact with people and life, but generally keep a quiet and humble life at home.

Oh, and as for my question.

Who here believes in the Lord?

For example: The earth is not the center of the universe. The age of the universe is far older than religion indicates. Evolutionary theory accurately predicts and explains speciation. Etc.

I am a Zen monk, American-born, Ivy League-educated. Lived and trained in Asia many years, formal approval from my Master, who is well-known worldwide. I am interested in returning, for some time, to my Catholic roots via time spent in shared life and reflection together with Catholic monks. I know many Catholic contemplatives would like to learn Zen, but many cannot move from their home monastery (no money, or by rule).

Any ideas how I could do this work?

I'm straight and I chose to be this way. Doesn't the same thing go for homosexuals?

My belief on the whole thing is that there is a right and wrong choice for everything in life. No one is created living a sin or living not a sin. Gay people use the phrase "I was born this way, I can't help it," as their only defense that being gay isn't an abomination. It's kind of sad that people call themselves a proud Gay-Christian.

I don't know...I guess I'm getting over-hyped from watching Stephen and Davis debate whether God is accepting of a gay lifestyle. [watching Real World Reunion:Denver] Am I not wrong here?

God means the created manifestation or personal God, whereas the Godhead refers to the source of origin of this manifestation.

You can ask any questions you like regarding this.

thanks!

But when we talk about "my boyfriend" or "my girlfriend" we tend to think of moviegoing or dating in a restaurant??

In a nutshell, why are homosexuals always thought of as wild sex junkies?

Aren't there virgin or non-sexually inclined homos?

...will America survive.."Not as an empire. Or a superpower. Not a place where the strong take what they can and the weak what they must. But a Beloved Community. It’s the core of civilization, the crux of democracy, and a profound religious truth.
But don’t go searching for the Beloved Community on a map. It’s not a place. It exists in the hearts and minds—our hearts and minds—or not at all.
I pray I am looking into the face of someone who will lead us toward it." Bill Moyer

It is sinful to lie by the Ten Commandments yet everyone has been guilty of it in one form or another, if you don't believe in Original Sin then why does a person have the propensity to lie? children do it automatically....

Doesn't t that prove to you, people are not born spotless? and need to repent for sins commited by breaking GOD's Holy Commandments?

It's 2007 and the Christian faith since the beginning requires that they witness and share the good news. "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Why argue and whine that they should keep it to themselves, when you know it's a requirement? It's like a "job requirement" you might not like that solicitors knock on your door, but if they are selling "Filter Queen" vacuume cleaners, that's part of their job description LOL ... Don't you feel like incessantly whining about them witnessing is like "beating a dead horse" I mean, what's the point?
I don't see Christians telling you to keep your anti God comments to yourself, particularily on forum like this.
Any comments greatly appreciated!
And don't jump on the "YOU CHRISTIAN" bandwagon... I make claims to nothing and have already been accused of being a Christian, Atheist and Muslim today!! LOL how diverse am I??
