If believers *know* that a god exists and sometimes claim to be able to prove it?

Why do they have to speak in figuratives about their *reality*? Ever hear anyone be literal about a god?

It is quite easy for christians to prove that god exists. All they need do is to believe hard enough, and that is all the proof they need. Stupid, sure, but it works for them.

Can one prove the existence of God? Only with the presented evidence in the universe can this be done. Too much has happened to be considered an "accident."
Here's a hypothetical experiment.....suppose you have a giant bowl. You throw in this bowl...lumber, nails, wiring, glass, etc. In other words, everything you would need to build a nice home. You then shake and spin this bowl. You do this for millions of years. You also hit it with heat, cold, radiation, etc. Do you really think you will have a nicely built home from this? Never. Now this is just a simple house. Imagine the complexities of DNA, cell structures, and life in general. Still think this may all have been an accident?

it doesn't matter whether people believe in God or not (it does but not much God can do about it) but he exists either wayy. And i've come across more than enough proof in my life to confirm that. Basically, good things happen to good people and more than enough good has come my way. God also operates in a sense that he provides only what we need and we take it from there he's not gonna do everything for us... that's why alot of people don't believe in his existence cause they're either greedy or lazy and just sit around on their arses expecting God to do everything for them or blaming him for their problems when in actuality chances are that the guy blamin God isn't Mr Role Model of Goodness so it's prolly his fault.

The reason the Christian God is spoken of in "figurative" terms is because He is an Absolute, an Infinite. The human mind is not capable of comprehending infinity (just try and visualize the size of the universe in your head....), so it is forced to come up with "figuratives" and "allegory" to try and explain God. We only know what we know, and we can't be expected to know *everything* (which is what an Absolute is), so we can only explain an infinite God with finite examples. Which is to say, God is so huge and amazing we can't comprehend Him, so we have to come up with ways of explaining inifinity with finiteness. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.

First off, I don't "know" God exists. I KNOW God exists! He proves Himself daily.

It is impossible to prove the existence of God. It is a question of faith. If you believe there is God then there is God for you. If you believe there is no God then there is no God for you.
