I'm not a scientist.

I am a theologian, however, and am willing to share the cure for the one disease that everyone has. Sin.

The premise of your question is wrong. You imply that Christians are not doing anything useful. However, you can find many scientists who are working for the cure for cancer (or any other disease you can think of). Christians are the ones feeding the poor and caring for the sick. A Christian discovered the New World. A Christian discovered all the great uses for the peanut. Christians are in every walk of life, contributing to society more than those who can only sit back and whine that Christians should "Do something useful."

Since many scientists, doctors, etc... are "hard core raging Christians" I have to believe that they are trying to find a cure for cancer. They are doing their part. God gave them those abilities and they have recognized their abilities and are putting them to good use. So what are you doing?

God gave me other abilities and I have recognized those and I am putting those abilities to good use. So again, I ask what are you doing besides being a nuisance?

Why bother? There'll just be more diseases popping up after cancer is cured. Like AIDS and Ebola and now some new resistant strain of tuberculosis. God has a way of weeding people out. And if we try to fix it, then he'll just get mad and make things worse.

Plus people who have cancer deserve it.

If you walked into a cancer research institute, you'd see that people from all walks of life, religious, orthodox, atheist, agnostic, American, Irani, Iraqui, African, Israeli, Palestinian, straight gay and otherwise and more are all giving it their best shot working side by side.

Find a better excuse to insult people you don't agree with.

There will be no cancer in heaven..So why should we devote our lives to that? There will be untold millions in eternal hell. Be thankful. You could still make it. Now that is a cause worth devoting ones life to aid in.

You do know that LabGrrrrrl, while not a Christian of any kind, works at a major research facility trying to do that, right?

Do you really think I deserve such people as coworkers?

Why worry about cancer when God has within his hand the power to overcome death?
I just love the attempts by non-believers to try and dictate to believers what they should and should not be doing with their time. Maybe someday, the time will come when you will understand that it is God that decides what a believer should be doing with his time, not the challenge of an uninformed non-believer.

Well, we're trying to do better than that!!! If God regenerates you, there's no cancer(or any suffering for that matter!) in Heaven. Pain is temporary... for real! (If you're saved)
