I'm straight and I chose to be this way. Doesn't the same thing go for homosexuals?

My belief on the whole thing is that there is a right and wrong choice for everything in life. No one is created living a sin or living not a sin. Gay people use the phrase "I was born this way, I can't help it," as their only defense that being gay isn't an abomination. It's kind of sad that people call themselves a proud Gay-Christian.

I don't know...I guess I'm getting over-hyped from watching Stephen and Davis debate whether God is accepting of a gay lifestyle. [watching Real World Reunion:Denver] Am I not wrong here?

Actually, you are born with sexual instincts, even if they don't manifest until adulthood. You didn't choose to be attracted sexually to the opposite sex (or the same one).

Yea, like that first one said, sexual instincts. I know I say I'm born gay, but i mean, it's because i never liked girls, but I never was like, "I'm gonna like guys only." And I am a "proud gay christian" which, I say it because I am a Christian and I'm proud to be gay. But, in your point of view as beng gay being a sin, everyone else walks around sinning and they're still Christians. People do wrong things (although I don't think gay is wrong) and that's just life. I know the whole life of sin thing, and it's just saying we make mistakes and that's always expected because no one ,except Jesus and God, is perfect. I'm not using the born gay thing as an excuse, if it's a sin then it's a sin. I wouldn't say I can't help it, I mean, I guess I can't. Unless I forced myself to date girls ( just if you forced yourself to date the same sex) but I wouldn't be very happy so.. whatever I'm not so sure. This is my best answer

Everyone has something in their life that they are tempted with. With some people it's homosexuality. Some people it is drugs. Some people it's sex. Some... money. We all have vices. Whether we given in to those vices seperates us. Some people say that they are gay and say that they are, "born that way" because it is something that they struggle with. There are people who were "gay" and then decided that they liked women/men after all and decided that they were straight. Also... I think that a lot of women want love in their life, and if they can't get it from a man, they will get it from a woman. Same thing goes with men. I think that society has put this thing up with men and women that you have to look a certain way that if men or women don't live up to that, they look for love where they will get it.

So you're saying that if you wanted to be, you could be attracted to the same sex? I don't think so. You are wrong.
Ever since I've had the ability to remember, I have been attracted to the same sex. Why must throw the Bible in our faces? The Bible is open to interpretation by anyone.

Most people have not carefully and prayerfully researched the Biblical texts used by some people to condemn God's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender children.
Historically, people's misinterpretation of the Bible has left a trail of suffering, bloodshed, and death.
We should be open to new truth from Scripture. Even heroes of the Christian faith have changed their minds about the meaning of various Biblical texts.
The Bible is a book about God. The Bible is not a book about human sexuality.
We miss what these passages say about God when we spend so much time debating what they say about sex.
The Biblical authors are silent about homosexual orientation as we know it today. They neither approve it nor condemn it.
The prophets, Jesus, and the Biblical authors say nothing about homosexual orientation as we understand it today. But, they are clear about this one thing. As we search for truth, we are to "Love one another."
Whatever some people believe the Bible seems to say about homosexuality, they must not use that belief to deny homosexuals their basic civil rights. To discriminate against sexual or gender minorities is unjust and un-American.

Many humans decide upon to adopt sexual acts which are outlined by way of conformists as solely belonging to gay or heterosexual humans. Prostitutes additionally exist. They have intercourse with humans they've no appeal to always. I may have intercourse with a person if I am inspired to take action, however I am no longer. This query is individualistic in it is reply and are not able to be spoke back by way of one character, for all of humanity. To adopt to do any sexual act is a alternative and celibacy may be a alternative. Being born with a loss of any sexual want is viable as good as it's viable to had been born with a predisposition to emerge as intercourse addicted. Sexual selection on this context, manner selection, sexually, for one gender or different and almost always pertains to the selection of a the pheromones of both gender which are managed by way of the hormones of contributors, which has a chromosomal groundwork, the selection for both male or feminine pheromones could possibly be brought on, additionally by way of hormonal elements that may be genetic and argues that you'll be born homosexual, or no longer :)

We all have our opinions, don't hate mine, you asked for opinions But you don't know what it is like to be a girl because you were born a boy. So I think it is difficult for anyone to know how it feels to be born gay, if you were born straight. Everything you see on TV is not true life. Davis represents himself, not the entire gay community. We are all different and unique and that is what makes the world such a great place!

I am straight, but I didn't ever make a choice not to be gay, I just found myself attracted to women. Can you honestly say there was a point in your life that you could have chosen to be sexually attracted to people of your own sex? If that's true, I would say that at the least you're bisexual and in the closet.

All this may very well be your "belief," sir, but you are in error...unless you are saying that you "chose" to be straight. You do know what you are saying, yes? You are saying that you could as easily been gay but decided not to be. It is, among other sources, a genetic thing, you know. It is in a man's genes at birth, or before. Gee, sir, this does not require a Harvard degree. Rather basic understanding of our species in 2007...

People are entitled to their own belief system, so all I'm going to do is tell you what I believe.

The persecution, the beatings, the murders...sure, who wouldn't want to be gay? Do you honestly think that people CHOOSE to be subjected to these things? That is like saying blacks CHOOSE to be targets of the KKK. I honestly believe that your sexual orientation is something you cannot control. I believe that if two people feel an emotional bond/connection, they treat each other well and they love each other than who am I to say whether or not that is right or wrong? I do not want to be judged based on my lifestyle so I do not judge others on theirs. I am perfectly straight by the way.

God also says that use should not use birth control. Do you? I believe that if I am not in a position in my life to be raising a child, than I will use it if I please. Times are changing and there are many dozens of religions out there. Who's to say which one is right and which one is wrong? I do not believe myself to be so self righteous that I am in a position to say what is right and what is not, so I let people be who they want to be, and who they are deep down inside.

When we all were born, we were born as sinners. Look at sin like being a tree, and each one of has had a branch of it somewhere. Being Gay is just one of the branches of sin, some people were born that way but that doesnt mean you cant turn straight. I've heard stories of people being gay then turning straight. I think as a christian, you can't really live a double-lifestyle, so when homosexuals claim they are a christian it doesn't seem right. You have to repent from your sins.

Wow, you chose to be straight? So, you were born gay?

Quite honestly, I have been attracted to the same gender as far back as I can remember..way before I even knew what sexuality was...I knew I liked guys.

I did not make a decision one day...oh yeah, I am going to be gay just to tick everyone off...

You obviously are very confused and I will pray for you and your twisted heart.
