In a nutshell, why are homosexuals always thought of as wild sex junkies?

Because the words gay and lesbian are connected to that person's sexual preference. I always say "I'm going to the movies with my girlfriend" even though I'm not gay. No one seems to mind this or question it. Gay's have been labeled as promiscuous and I'm not sure why. I know some who are and who aren't. I'm sure there are gay virgins in the world. I haven't met any yet but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

Those words are NOT always associated with sexual intercourse, they are associated with a sexual orientation. Only those who have an issue with homosexuality in general tend to assume when one mentions Gays and Lesbians they are conversing about sex.

The rumors just make it sound so glamourous!!
Wild sex junkie would be a compliment. I'm gay, happily married to my wife and we have a new baby. I could only wish that we had the time or the energy to be sex junkies. Instead we are grocery shopping on Friday nights. We are just like everyone else.
