Until the age of acountability(which means whenever children know right from wrong) children are not held responsibe for their actions. So if a 2 year old tells a lie.. he doesn't really KNOW why lying is bad.. so he can't be held accountable for it. But if a 16, 25, or 50 year old person lies, then YES it is a sin. If you contanstly lie to people then that is a sin,and you need to ask for forgiveness. The bible says that liars will have their place in the lake of fire.

No, it extremely is not a "sin", it does not harm the commandment that tells us to no longer lie. nonetheless, might desire to or no longer it extremely is that if we do like this too frequently, we'd get used of telling others that which isn't real, and so sooner or later we'd do it as quickly as we'd desire to continuously no longer. confident, I see a danger right here, nonetheless, you need to not subject too a lot if it extremely is in basic terms some variety of humor. Even God has humor, i'm helpful. purely be helpful to do no longer make it a bad habit which will sooner or later make you extremely tell a lie.

I consider it wrong to lie, but I don't consider it a sin. I feel it is deceitful to try to cover over any wrong doing, and learnt from a very early age it is far better to be honest about things. Even if I still get into trouble for doing something wrong, I found that people still respect you for telling the truth about it. To me that's common sense, and something my parents instilled in me.

fear of getting caught for a naughty act is a good reason why a child might lie....it's through experience of realizing that s/he might get into trouble if mummy finds out that makes a child lie
well "God's holy commandments" isn't the only place you can find those ethics.....there are lots of other religions you know....for e.g.hinduism has been around for many thousands of years MUCH before christianity

If you see a child's lie as a sin, that should be worthy of an eternal punishment in a lake of fire, I sure as hell hope you'll never have kids.

Yes lying is a sin. Who is without sin? He who is without sin cast the first stone.
Humans are not perfect.
