it's my first valentine's day together with my boyfriend, even though we have being dating for almost 2 years now. anyways, i wanted to do this for him:

it's a customised pringles can, i thought it would be nice to actually make something for him and not just buy something at a store. i probably would make it more personal by putting pictures of us instead of just wrapping paper. what do you think?

now, the most difficult question is what do i put inside? this is something i really don't know, so if anyone could help me, i'd be very happy. thanks :)

What is a WOP???... I was watching a movie and heard someone say it about an Italian guy that I guess didn't speak english?... Someone else came behind it and called the guy a guinnea (sp)... which I know is derogatory...I don't know.. the way the guy said it.. sounded like it was supposed to be offensive. But why? What does that mean?...

Why does Christianity Have such a DISTURBING AND VIOLENT HISTORY?

It's rather ironic that a religion which so publicly proclaims Absolute Love as its basis should, over the course of history, spawn so much unmitigated hatred and violence. Is it simply that Christianity is a failure in inspiring better conduct from otherwise hopelessly evil human beings, or is there some aspect of Christianity which in fact encourages or promotes some of the baser aspects of human behavior?

Think about the

-Inquisition
-Crusades
-Reformation
-Witchhunts
-Holocaust

Now let's think about the Jews. Jews were forcibly baptized, then treated as heretics under the Inquisition if they dared to return to Jewish ways. Jews were accused of poisoning wells in an attempt to exterminate Christians (oh, the irony!). Jews were forced into ghettos. Jews were prohibited from participating in a wide variety of occupations. Jews were ordered to wear identifying badges by religious authorities so that everyone would know who they were.

How do you say "I was..." or "it was..." in French?

I want to say "I was in a group with...so and so" and "the garden was very cool." do i use étais/était or "il a été"?

Here is an easy one or hard one you make the call. If modern man was to be wiped out today and only our ape counterparts were to survive do you think that evolution would follow the same path it did before and create another planet full of humans like us or would another race or species take over? If apes are still evolving then it stands to reason that even if humans wiped themselves out another form of humanity would stand to take our place.

Are the peoples of India and the surrounding areas the descendants of Lemuria?

There is said to have been a lost continent like Atlantis in the Pacific Ocean called Lemuria. My studies indicate that they migrated to Easter Island and the Indus Valley.
There are in fact two "lost" languages known to man that are almost identical. One comes from Easter Island, the other from the Indus Valley!
The Giant Heads on Easter Island are supposed to be a memorial to the Lost Land
of Mu!

How important is an education ?

This is not a question, it is more like learn from my mistake, for the younger people on here. I am almost 50 years old, I graduated High School and several years later took two college courses for one semester, that is it. I worked hard and became a manager for one of the top two beverage companies. I was responsible for everything at my location. I mean everything, I ran that business like it was my own. This was a big business with sales of over 8 million dollars a year. I am trying to make the point that I have a lot of experience running a business. They had a major restructure and all of the sudden I don't have a job. I am haveing a hell of a time finding a job anything like what I had because I don't have an education. Most places don't even care what your degree is in they just want a four year degree. so unless you want to go back to school when you are 50, which is what i am about to do, get the education while you are young. i don't want sympathy I am just trying to help.

Would you agree that the post office contributes to land fill issues?

Consider this.
Bulk mail which comes to everyone is sent at a lower postal rate than regular mail. Doesn't this add to the high rate of junk mail?
Doesn't the fact that nearly all of it winds up in land fill?
Mail order is definately big business. And everytime they raise the rates, we have to pay for it.
The delivery people have to carry much more weight than is necessary. And they have to have more people for the volume of junk. What do you think?
Shouldn't the bulk mailers have to pay the weight of thier materials just like the rest of us?

Why is it acceptable for men to sleep around and not women?

one of my girl pals is playing the field and seeing and sleeping with different guy's she isn't ready to settle yet, she is taking precautions though. She would be classed as a sl ut by society, even by other women.
Men however, can do this sort of thing and it is accepted by society and even praised by other men and laughed off by others or dismissed as 'jack the lad' behaviour so what's behind it?
