We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

Fortune Tellers
The practice of fortune telling is forbidden by God. It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 18:9-13, TLB. "When you arrive in the Promised Land you must be very careful lest you be corrupted by the horrible customs of the nations now living there. For example, an Israeli who presents his child to be burned to death as a sacrifice to heathen gods, must be killed. No one may practice black magic, or call on the evil spirits for aid, or be a fortune teller, or be a serpent charmer, medium, or wizard, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone doing these things is an object of horror and disgust to the Lord, and it is because the nations do these things that the Lord your God will displace them. You must walk blamelessly before the Lord your God."

The future is known only by God. It's in the Bible, Isaiah 8:19, TLB. "So why are you trying to find out the future by consulting witches and mediums. Don't listen to their whisperings and mutterings. Can the living find out the future from the dead? Why not ask your God?"

Visions and dreams from God are not going to a psychic.

I've always said that being a psychic is a gift from god...but you have to watch out for the ones that steal your stuff to make up answers.

There is absolutely nothing in any scripture that would infer that it was a sin. Besides if God wants you to know than perhaps the vessel he decides to use is a psychic

Yes, it is. It violates the first commandment. Consulting psychics, fortune tellers and Spiritists is a form of idolatry. We should trust only in God.
Have a blessed day

God said in His Word that people should seek to Him for answers not a "seer" (ancient word for psychic). We can ask God directly without any one else.

Many religious leaders claim it is. But then they go on to tell their own personal stories of visions, dreams with messages from God, hearing demonic spirits and hearing God speak to them. I think it's ironic.
