I don't want to offend her, and we've only been there a few weeks, but there have been several reasons that make me uncomfortable about leaving the kids with her.
My gut says not to be honest, and just say something vague, but what should I say?
How can i tell her I'mnot coming back without offending her too badly?

I was born severely deaf. However, i still can hear and i'm very smart. I'm predicted A-Bs in my GCSEs. But whenever i meet someone, they start speaking slow and signing even though they don't make sense. Why do people do this? I'm not stupid at all but it irritates me. It's not fair at all.

My friend got a $12,000 engagement ring. The center stone has been modified because it once belonged to her fiance's ex(he was engaged once before). He also had additional diamonds added and put into a new mount. She is demanding a new ring.

My fiance and I recently broke up. She now wants to keep the ring and has taken it and put it into a safe deposit box I cannot access. In the beginning of our break-up, she said she would return the ring. Now she has obviously changed her mind. I would like the ring back or compensation for it if she's going to keep it. I live in California where I've read small claims have usually ruled in favor of the "giver" and not necessarily to the "givee" if the break-up was mutual and to the lesser extent her inclination. Any advice?
