Because she's a model and isn't a stick. It's a great role model for girls who have a screwed up sense of what a proper weight is.

Cause a majority of people are like cattle and follow the herd. To some the only interesting things on this planet are what the media tells them is important.
Personally, I could care less that Tyra gained weight or what any of the stars say or do for that matter. I overheard a lady talking about something like "OMG so and so is for the war in Iraq? I'm never gonna watch one of his movies again!" Who cares!!!

I can't believe that you don't find Tyra's weight as fascinating as I do! What else should I be pondering? I can't think of anything that is more important. The meaning of life, the nature of God, solutions to world hunger, unified theories of gravity and electromagnetism...they all pale in comparison with Tyra Banks. Her beautiful image has burned itself into my brain and forced out all other thoughts. Now all day long all I can think about is Tyra...her weight, her hair style, her toothpaste brand, her favorite color of toenail polish. These are the worries with which I choose to concern myself.

I don't think people necessarily care that Tyra gained a few pounds since her modelling day, it's that tabloids and gossips like to bring people down by exposing flaws real or imagined. If Tyra is perceived "fat" by the tabs, God help the majority of Americans.

Because people sit in front of their television for about 4 hours a day and the media thinks that Americans are dumb and shallow enough to find that oh so important. I think one way to fix the majority of our brilliant news programs is to just turn the darn TV off and do something else.

shes making it into an issue, all celebrities end up on tabloids with bad pictures of them selves, she's taking this opportunity to show that shes couragious and a black hero, give us a break tyra we as a society dont care, blowhard

Because they all don't have lifes of their own so they have to try and coach supermodels and tell them what to do. or Gossip about them

I could care less what she weighs, what she eats and what she wears. I have my own life to worry about. I don't have time to care about a spoiled rich witch.
