As always I feel the need to put a disclaimer on all the questions i ask in the religion section so- If you dont believe in God, or christianity, good for you, but dont bother posting an answer just to tell me that. thank you.

And now, with that said...

Ive basically been a christian my entire life. I was raised as one so I never really had a chance to "discover" it for myself.

Dont get me wrong, Ive thought about it, researched other beliefs, and decided that this is the one for me. I believe in God, Jesus, heaven and hell, and everything but.

Pastors always talk about being "luke warm" and say thats a horrible place to be in your faith, and I feel like thats exactly where I am. Im a christian, but I want to be passionate about it.

How do you do that?

I am a Latina and I am curious on this issue. If a member of a particular minority group says something remotely racist (i.e. joke, etc.) it is taken differently than if a white person says the exact same thing. If a white person makes a non-offensive innocent race joke, it's usually not as welcomed than as if a hispanic or black would say it.

Do you feel as if your walking on egg shells? I know I would.

TLC now runs specials on this family with 16 children.

On a recent episode, they spoke with another family with 16 children. And introduced families with 8, 9, 10, 11, 15 kids, etc.

Do you think its fair for one family to have so many children? Do you think its fair to the children? Do they have a healthy lifestyle? Do they get the attention they need? The nutrition they need if everything is served in bulk?

Is this fair to our society where we are already over populated and now certain families are running that population tally even higher without regard for others? Or is it 100% ok for a family to have as many kids as they want??

I'd just love another opinion!

Something I've noted, in my limited way, the lack of Alzheimer patients who are Jehovah's Witnesses. Also, they are less likely to end up in nursing homes, remaining in their own homes until close to death. Could the difference be in their activities?

In JWs, everyone, regardless of age, actively studies, teaches, and preaches the Bible. The door to door work aside, they give Bible talks of up to 60 minutes, and demonstrations of how to conducted Bible studies. Could this level of activity, both mental and physical, cause a reduction in the incidence of Alzheimer Disease in the JW elderly?

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Leviticus 18:22

This could be interpreted many ways.It could mean that a man should not lay with another man dressed as a woman, for instance. It is also interesting to note that this passage is in the same chapter as this:
"And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you. They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you Leviticus 11:10-12.

So, is eating crab and shrimp as bad as a man laying down with another man dressed as a woman?

What are your thoughts?

After the first couple sentences, you can usually tell that the thoughts are someone else's, not that of the one replying.

I have, and I have no idea what to believe. Someone said today that she is a servant of Satan, as the devil come to her instead of Jesus. I did not agree with everything in her book, as I believe the experiences have to line up with the bible. A lot of me think her book is garbage. Jesus came to her telling her this is your Lord. Satan thinks he is lord. I enjoyed reading some things in the book. Didn't Jesus say in the last days' that there will be a lot of false prophets? so Christians I am just curious if you have read it, what do you think about the book? Jesus took her into Heaven and told her that the only ones that can enter his kingdom is the pure hearted and obiedient children. That rules most of us out then. The bible says that he who believs is not comdemed but have passed from death to life. She talks about Jesus showing her her parents burning in hell as they were not christians. Why would she be shown her parents, instead of someone else?

Since Jesus had one set of teachings and Paul had his own that were entirely different and not even related, is it possible for a person to be a Christian and not take into account any of Paul's teachings for that reason, since he had his own agenda and rules that didn't even agree with what Jesus taught or how he lived? Or would that fit into the "cherry picking" religion type?

Here's the scenerio....(get ready for lesbian drama)

History: Lesbian #1 dated lesbian #2 AND lesbian #3.

Friendship Status: Lesbian #1 and #2 are still really good friends (dispite the breakup). Lesbian #1 and #3 are also friends.

Now, Lesbian #2 and #3 are dating. They know each other through their mutual Ex---lesbian #1.

Lesbian #1 is not cool with this. Lesbian #2 only told lesbian #1 what is happening after a date with lesbian #3.

Is lesbian #1 over-reacting or is it clearly seen as hurtful for an ex to date your other ex?

I seriously don't understand this from the current happenings in UK. I read lots of blogs everyday from people based in UK and I hear about racial abuse. I don't understand one thing. UK being a country which had crucial inputs during the beginning of the industrial age from various countries, should respect people from various countries.

G'day, I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I'm a 27yo male of indian origin and I admit that I have a preference for asian girls. I do not consider myself as having a sexual fetish but rather I am attracted to them for good reasons.
I have worked in healthcare in Melbourne's western suburbs which have a large Vietnamese and Filipino population. I have met several female colleagues of my age group from these backgrounds and I have a generally good working relationship with them; I also find many of these women friendly, down to earth and family oriented. I have tried to ask out a couple of the girls but they seem reluctant.
It seems that asian girls who date outside their own ethnic group or other asian groups date white caucasian men only. Are they just influenced by the predominant social trend?
Specifically, I'm surprised there is not more interracial dating between asians and indians given that both groups generally have a similar socio-economic status and values.
Any views?

I don't see what the big deal is, I am tired of hearing the term "spicy senorita", women are women, right guys?

Then why when you ask a christian what his religion is he dont say he's catholic?
When you ask a catholic the same question he dont say im a christian?
Why do christians go to christian school?(called bible school in some areas).

And catholics go to catholic school? Wouldnt they be the same?

Whens the last time you entered a christian church to go to confession? (Do it all the time in catholic churches).

Why did the catholics try to kill the christians when christianity was new? Did they feel there was too many members in the catholic church so they wanted to let a few people go?

Im sure lotsa insults will be posted so please belive m ewhen I say im gonna lose sleep tonignt thinking of all the people Im making mad. Ok just kidding but I really do wanna find answers.

In this day and age, people would look at you like you were a nut. Seriously, what is wrong with jeans and pants? Dresses and skirts are not practical in most situations. I seriously doubt that God will strike you down for wearing pants. Most female pastors that I have known wear pants during the week (and dresses on Sundays) and don't see anything wrong or sinful about it.
