Because hetero/homo sexual orientation is a societal construct. While it's unlikely that everyone is bisexual, it is certainly true that almost everyone has the potential to be bisexual. We've(as a species) had many societies where bisexuality was the norm.
People these days let others make all the important decisions for them. I'm gay, but I could certainly imagine myself having a great time between the sheets with a woman I found attractive. It's just that overwhelmingly I am gay, and not straight.
People who let books tell them where to put their genitals and when are boring, uncreative and usually not worth having sex with anyway.

As I understand it:
According to the Kinsey survey, most people have at some time had a same sex fantasy or act. According to his analysis of the results, about 10% are 100% straight and about 10% of us are 100% gay, and the remaining 80% have had some cross-over fantasies or experiences.
You may not agree but just think about how many gay guys were married at some point and have kids. And how many guys have "experimented" in college but setteled down to be straight. Also when you consider the social stigma associated with being gay, most guys will seriously try to make a hetero relationships work first. So I don't think anyone is trying to say that 80% of us flip flop back and forth between gay and hetero. But when you look at your sex life over a life time, suposedly 80% have either wanted to or have experienced some bi-sexual activity.

I don't know what's up with that. Rosie O'Donnel says that everyone is a little gay. Where does she get saying that? I am not the least bit gay. I have no desire to even try having sex with a woman. If a person is gay, I will except it. I would never even try to persuade person to try "my team", so I wouldn't appreciate old Rosie saying that everyone is a little gay. Look what she said about Gayle & Oprah just because the two women are tight. What's wrong with a friendship lasting longer than marriages? I say "More power to Oprah & Gayle". Let the two have another 30 years of friendship.

Scientific observation of human behaviour has uncovered that a greater majority of the human race are latent bi-sexuals.
The term "Latent Bisexual" means that at some level the brain will sub-consciously be inclined to indulge in sexual acts like "mutual masturbation" or "oral sex" with a partner of the same sex.
However there is no need to get upset with all this. Just because it is in our sub-conscious, does not mean that you will actually commit a gay act or become gay.
Just relax and be yourself. While all of us are latently bi-sexual , a huge majority remain straight and are happy being straight.

Every human being is born with the capacity to interact with another person regardless of gender. The idea that showing affection to a person of your own gender is somehow a no-no is a prejudice that has to be taught. When you become emotionally mature you may figure out at last that a lot of boundaries and restrictions placed on your life are really artificial and unnecessary. You limit and deform your life if you allow these prejudices of society to govern you. A person who grows up mentally and emotionally will expand his or her affections to embrace all human beings, maybe all living creatures, maybe all of nature.
