Does the search for proof of God stem from doubt? From insecurity? From an assumption that science will eventually find God?

Are most believers unwilling to acknowledge the risk of faith?

I always feel that got is either trying to get me to do something or testing me to see if I learned anything. I wish I could better figure it out.

For an example, I have been reading a book about money. One rule is to save money to invest and the other rule is to invest wisely. Lately a co-worker was saying if he has $500 he could buy a piece of equipment what he could do work on the weekend for possible neighbors. He doesn't have any business really lined up and we are about to lose our jobs.
Is God wanting me to invest and not be afraid because He is going to provide, or is he wanting me to look for a better way to invest my money?

I have no problem with people who may come to work sick, but why do they feel the need to talk to everyone about their sickness? Especially when they KNOW it is a virus, which is (duh) contagious!!! Then they want to stand all in your face and talk to you, spilling germs all over the place!!! I understand you may need the money, and not have the time to take off. But STAY AT YOUR DESK AWAY FROM ME or i WILL spray you with Lysol!!! I dont have it, and dont want it!!!

Thank you very much for letting me vent!!

Anyone have any insights?

I love socializing with people, and if people will judge me by my skin colour without actually making an effort to know me, then i petty such people, as they miss out on the most interesting people in the world. we are living in a global village now, skin colour has nothing to do with who u are, your religion, cultural attitude you identify with, where you are from or whatever. Racism exists in different forms, but colour seggregation is lame and unjust...we are all human beings with high intelligence and spiritual presensce...respect that and lets erradicate racism from our thoughts. prejudice makes u a weak person...judge what u can measure and you will love the life you live...peace to all colours, tribes and aliens lol!

The "official" Bible excluded many writings and accepted only those that supposedly were "inspired by God"

I recently started working with a guy that I thought was perfect with me. We like the same things, we are close in age (around 30), we make each other smile and laugh. I was really hoping that he would ask me for a date. Then his brother, who also works there, casually mentioned to someone that he has been engaged for a long time. He's never mentioned to me, or anyone else, that he had a girlfriend, much less a fiance. He has talked openly about his marriage and divorce, and how she cheated and he left, so he's not an incredibly private person, but failed to mention that he had found someone else. I asked him what he did for New Years and he said 'The people I was with dragged me to this club that I didn't want to go to.' Talked about hating the music, about being home by 12:30, but not mention of a fiance. I don't think he's trying to be deceitful, but does it sound like there's trouble in paradise? I just can't think of another reason to be so secretive.

Hi,
I am a Past Master of a Masonic Lodge, and we put millions into charitable funds, have a good meal together, take our wives or freinds to a festival, and generally do good for the community.
Why do some folks have the notion that it it is all a bit strange & daft. I chair a meeting tonight with a bunch of mates. It is just a club. No problem.
Sure, we help each other in time of need, but would you not do the same for a freind or neighbour?
Non-Masonic folks - please stop criticising, and learn more about it all. We wish you all a pleasant New Year.
Your thoughts ?
Regards,
Bob.
