I have recently come back to Christ after a bit of a hiatus. I've been waffling between the Episcopal and Methodist Churches but have become terribly disenchanted with the U-turn to the left, politically and socially. I'm hoping that by giving a few core beliefs I hold you can help me narrow down the churches worth considering and visiting.

I am...

1.) A conservative Christian. I think God was right: abortion is wrong; the traditional family forms the basis of society; premarital sex is wrong--basically, I need a church with unyieldingly tough morality.

2.) I love liturgy and tradition. It helps, not hinders, a spiritual life in Christ.

3.) I love the simple piety of Methodism. No theological or spiritual fireworks there--the emphasis is faith and decency and this very American way of living in Christ is very attractive.

So, is that wanting too much? What denomination are you? What do you think would fit me best?

Does anyone else think that the whole blonde hair, blue eyed beauty thing is overrated? Yes, there are cute, pretty and hot blondes, but I actually find a lot of girls with brown hair or asian, spanish, black, etc. etc. girls are better looking. I mean, just because a girl has blonde hair, it does not automatically deem her pretty...Especially the ones that try sooo hard with the fake tans, caked on make up and so on. Anyone with me on this one? Anybody else sick of the whole blonde is better theme in this world?? (no offense to blondes)

I mean, the way christians talk about it, one would think that it was divine. How silly is that!

Do you believe its imminent and/or necesssary that we get thumbs down or reported for expressing ourselves? This goes for any religion im saying people should be encouraged for their individuality and not ridiculed for not being one sided. In my opinion we need to lighten up and be more tolerant to others, easier said than done, but greater achievements have been made. What do you think?

I go out at night, and I lie on the ground.
I breath the fresh air, and I hear all the sound.
I look at the trees, as they reach to the sky,
Getting their last glimps of heaven, before they wither and die.
But the wind shakes a bronch, and a seed drops near,
And I know that new life is about to begin here.
I look at the moon, as it brightens the hour,
And I know this must be God showing his power.
I look at the stars, as the glisten above.
I know this must be God, showing his love.
And I look at the world, always changing, always new.
And I think God Almighty, an act way overdue.

What do you think? Are there any spelling errors i need to know about?

Is the United States ready to have a women president?
Is the United States ready to have a African-American president?
Would you prefer a female president or a African-American president?
I don't really think it matters but I want to see what you think.

Both are composed of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Sodium, and Iron atoms (among many more). Everything in the universe is composed of at least one of the elements in the Periodic Table of the Elements. But what separates us from non-living organic materials? What I'm getting at: what is the driving force behind life? What powers our cells to work in a living manner? How do these atoms make LIFE? I believe, as a scientist, that there are unkown forces behind life - An intelligent Creator. Look at the complexity and perfection of the DNA molecule. How can you not BELIEVE?

Ezek. 38:2-6
"Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army--your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops--the many nations with you."

I think so but the only evidence that I can think of is that her actions resulted in the prophecy actually coming true.

Can anybody think of any more evidence that proves the Jocasta is responsible for what happened to her in the end?

What do you think?
