ah yes just a book...and the 10 Commandments were written in stone yet people ignore those as well. if it were not a book it would still be called "oral tradition". What is it that you want from Christians? We didn't write it, that began several thousand years before Jesus. Do you want to see NASA pictures of Noah's ark as proof? The DaVinci code making you think? To the Jews in OT times, the Torah was also divine which is the Christian OT. We didn't call it divine, the Divine God spoke the words to the person penning, that is what makes it divine. It is silly I guess to believe an invisible God could speak words to certain people and those silly people would write strange sentences from a God that no one can see. I mean how silly is it to say God said don't kill your neighbor...I mean that takes the fun out of everything. I am a silly person I guess because I believe in the Divine God whose Divine Word was written into a Divine Book. You are right, it is silly, but true. Remember, Truth is stranger than Fiction.

There's an old saying that's been going around for years. Even Country music artist, Hank Williams Jr, wrote a song about it. The name of the song is "You cant judge a book, by looking at the cover"

Which is also true for the Bible. Because a book can only stand, by the contents within it. A Philosophy book is called a book of philosophy, because the contents are Philosophical. A History book is called a book of History, because the contents are Historical. A Science book is called a book of science, because the contents are Scientific.

The Bible has stood the test of time, to be, just what it claims "within" its self, to be, what it is.

And the one thing that places the Bible apart from all other book of humanity, is prophecy. For the Bible is 100 % acurate, concerning prophecy. And not just one of them. But, hundreds of them.

When you look at all the books there are in the world, the Bible,
stands alone, most certainly, as the most Unique Book there is!

For it is the only book of Humanity, that "dare's" to place its whole
credence upon the fact that it is able to tell in advance things that
are going to take place!

For no other religious book would dare to make predictions on the
future, and then base its veracity, its truth, its accuracy, or its
precision on those things happening!

And not just one prediction! But hundreds of predictions!

The great discovery of today is that this Book of 66 books, a type of library in itself, of which we call the Bible, was penned by forty
different men, over thousands of years.

We now see they are an integrated message system!

Other words we now discover that ever scripture, every name, and every detail of the text is there by careful engineering and design, transcending time itself!

It is really funny, your question, for the Bible is actually a collection of books that Christians babble about like the tower of Babel as they have all their talk in their heads and never in their hearts since Christianity has nothing for the heart.

What with a 3nitty mystery that can neither be understood nor explained. I mean the mystery, not the 3nitty, since 3nitty is merely like a crossword puzzle that is designed to make some people think they are clever when its simply a matter of killing time with nonsense.

3nitty, they say, is 3 in 1 with all 3 being 3 and 1 simultaneously, which add up to 13, and thats the christians' unlucky number.

It all started with a Hoax of a crucifixion that was meant to get rid of two thieves officially named Jesus, yes, both of them, while the Christ, the miracle man, was set free, and 100lbs of aloes and myrrh was wrapped in two shrouds to appear like a head and body to disappear, I mean, to resurrect, a few hours later.

You can read all about the secrets of the Bible in The Age Of Reason (www.Xlibris.com) and get yourself above the hoax of the Bible.

The Bible is actually a COLLECTION OF BOOKS.

The fact that the books that were written about it were written by many different authors over a time span of a thousand years--YET still have the same recurring themes and message shows it's more than mere coincidences. Though the Bible is not entirely accurate, it has PROVEN TO BE one of history's most RELIABLE historical books. There are hostile witnesses who corroborate with many things including the life of Christ.

Divine is not a noun, it is an adjective. Therefore, the Bible is a divine book. The two words don't contradict each other.

Well I personally believe that the Bible records God himself accurately. However, in matters of history and science -especially science- it is not a supreme authority. In matters of morals it must be updated.

God inspired the Bible, but it was written thousands of years ago by some caffeine-high people with no technology, a culture with much to be desired and no sense of their place in the Cosmos.

God is the Father and Creator and the Bible itself is mostly His word, but it's clearly been perverted and diluted over the millenia.

Considering that the word "bible" is latin for "book", it would make sense that it is a book. What did you expect it to be?

What makes it unique is the content of the book. Within the library of books it contains for the experiences of hundreds of people who have had encounters with God. Together, they contain a full picture of God, who he is and how to have a relationship with him.

If you can think of a better way to store and pass this information from generation to generation, feel free to purpose it.

Yes the Bible is a book, it is literature, it has different genres including myth, narrative, history, legal writing, letters, poetry songs, etc, but it is no ordinary book. It is a book put together with help from God, to tell humans about God.
