Both are composed of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Sodium, and Iron atoms (among many more). Everything in the universe is composed of at least one of the elements in the Periodic Table of the Elements. But what separates us from non-living organic materials? What I'm getting at: what is the driving force behind life? What powers our cells to work in a living manner? How do these atoms make LIFE? I believe, as a scientist, that there are unkown forces behind life - An intelligent Creator. Look at the complexity and perfection of the DNA molecule. How can you not BELIEVE?

Maybe there is something on that Periodic table in plane sight that we don't see? The breath of God

Actually, scientists have categorically described several factors that denote life, such as organization, metabolism, response to stimuli, growth, adaptation, and the capability for reproduction. Before you go 'believing' anything, spend time researching first.

The reason I do not 'believe' is because there are no compelling justifications for your belief. Your belief does not explain anything that is currently unexplainable, and your belief is not based upon empirical evidence.

The periodic table does indeed contain all the atoms of which we know, so it is true to state that all living things are composed of at least one element of the periodic table (it's just redundant). I would like to point out that in the last year alone there have been additions to that table, from elements we've created in our laboratories.

Yes, how can one not believe and start their journey here and now? All you have to do is look at nature to begin to comprehend something very special is going on in life. Just look at a school of fish. Any questions?

The rock is more at peace (probably because it has no religion)
