YES!!!!
It would be kind of funny if it wasn't so pathetic, but people treat them like royalty, but half of them have no class, brains, or grace what-so-ever. They act worse than "trailer trash" and yet they incredibly spoiled and can have anything they want. I was going to name a few, but really there are more than I have time to list.

Remember this, "Out of sight, out of mind."

The entertainment industry knows this all to well, so their publicists, managers, agents, and every studio that stands to make millions will do whatever it takes to keep them in the public eye.

It's the people who believe in the illusion that somehow they are living far more interesting lives that creates this fascination. I feel sorry for those people who look up to them more than their own family. Because, to me... whatever celebrities are up to in their personal lives are none of my business.

What grabs my attention are the unsung hero's who do something to make the world a better place. They never make the news if they are not famous.

So in conclusion, Yes, of course celebrities are overrated. It's a logical progression, because as long as their is supply and demand, the money is huge for many many people so more is at stake. The celebrity is just the tip of the ice burg compared to all of the jobs they've created because of their fame. They are benefiting many, many people such as architects, set builders, script writers, story adapter's, stunt coordinators, cinematographers, film house businesses, magazine publicists, photographers, engineers, and the list can go on.

Being overrated is exactly what keeps them in the public eye for more money making. If you know the game, you may stop watching TV. I don't watch it but I do attend a really good movie now and then.

PS. I work in the Film Industry. It's a BUSINESS.

It's funny you should ask that. George Clooney was on the Tonight Show and they also had the young actress (8 years old) who was asked which star she liked. She looked at George, looked back at Jay, and honestly responded, "Orlando Bloom". Boy, did that put George in his place!
The Sexiest Man Alive was speechless.

Yes they are. I hate how they whine about only getting offered 6 million when they wanted 7 million. What is wrong with them. They make more than anyone and all they do is whine about it. Shut the f**k up and entertain us.... thats why they pay you millions.
