I will be more philosophical, look deeper into things, and be more caring. I'm relatively a spiritual person and try to live as balanced as I can. When anything gets off balance, I may do something excessively. I drink little to moderately and unfortunately when something is off balance the day I intend to drink, I may over drink and obviously feel bad. That I understand. I want to hear stories of similar experiences to people who don't drink much but when they do, something spiritually changes the next day. My reasons are because I'm sharing control of my body and suffocating my soul and then even though physically I will be okay and I have gotten plenty of sleep and something to eat, my soul is still trying to recover from the spiritual suffocation. What are your thoughts? Remember, this is not a question to share how "wasted" you got. This is a study on the effects of the soul when altering the state of mind. Psychology references are welcome, but I'd prefer your own experiences.

How can we believe that there was ever this perfect world? Everything can kill you. Everything has killed somebody at some time in history and if it hasn't it will. Even in Eden could there ever have been a time when Adam did not have to worry about tripping and splitting his head open on a rock?

Even if Adam didn't eat from the tree wouldn't he have still died eventually?

in the early to mid 1900's majority of people belived in God in their heart.Evan during slavery;slaves & slave masters believed in God(although the slavemasters understanding was messed up);society as a whole still prospered and eventually slavery ended and blacks were able to contribute signicantly.
In the mid 1900 they improved cars and planes and transportation and lot of other things.Including going to the moon. But as we come upon the 90's,we have to two famous female music stars sexually kiss each other;then all the sudden society decides God is expendaple and not necessary. From there on out society goes down hill, sins more and more, waxes worse and worse.

Does it not occur to people that the reason for this is the removal of God?

Cause:Faith in God
Effect:Society prospers

Cause:Removal of Jesus Christ from society
Effect:Society slowly but surely gets worse and worse

Anyone besides christians notice this correlation?

In America, every party I have been to on New Years I have worn black or dasrk colors. I figured thats what you wear to formal parties and all the New Years parties have been to are pretty formal. I am in Angola now and there are alot of Brazillians and they were all wearing white for New Years. Why is that?

Not in a bad way, jus wanting, for own selfish reasons, the Lord to come back soon. Is this wrong? Waiting for the Lord to come back and really hoping all your own little problems mean nothing because He will come soon?

For all who say that the U.S. is not a Christian nation, did you know that we have a National Cathedral in Washington DC? FYI it is also the Cathedral of the Episcopal Church. Sounds a bit like England doesn't it.

The Future is Wild aired again on Animal Planet last night. Basically, a team of scientists projected how animals on Earth would evolve and how Earth would change 5, 100, and 200 million years from now, after humans are extinct.

Well, a few of my relatives find the idea offensive, even anti-religious and anti-God. I really don't see why, aside from the scientists' acceptance of evolution as a fact. Their offense went beyond that, too.

This is what I'm talking about:

Do you find it offensive? If so, why?

Ok, we all grow up and see crack heads and see drug users and see how drugs mess up people's lives and kill them. We also see this a lot in Hollywood and on TV and famous people who overdose and who looks really bad. But why do people still do these things...Why do they grow up and see the affects and still try it knowing that they will be hooked? Especially those who have money? Why do they do these drugs? Peer pressure is not an option b/c I think that's BullSht! The pressure to stay thin? I Think that's Bullsht too! What is the deal?
Also, you grow up to see these people and how they look and act and are shamed of them and you wanna laugh and leave them alone but then people who grow up seeing this, they fall into the same crap...What is the deal?

Yesterday, (1-1-2007. What better way to sart the new year?) I wanted to be saved. So I knelt in the corner of my room and said The Prayer, and walked away. I was happy but I don't really feel any different. Do u think i was saved? I will try to go to church more, and read the bible from time to time, but i want to know:
1. Do u think i was saved?
2. What are some things i should NOT do now. (give me a list of sins)

Thanks!,
♥ Taylor ♥
(p.s. I'll go ahead and tell u b/c i don't want God (Ennam Engel) to consider this a lie, so... my name isn't Taylor, I would never give my name out on the internet! But on this id my name IS taylor!)
